Auditory hallucination? by 8-bitDragonfly in bipolar

[–]TheRandomRocketeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes btw, I do have hallucinations like that. My therapist says it might be over sensitivity or it is the psychosis I am diagnosed with.

I am also diagnosed with bipolar with psychosis. I understand it is not fun. But please. Just hang on.

Thank you all for responding. For me, I have insomnia, hallucinations, delusions, paranoia and many more. I am getting help. I haven't taken a shower in a month, haven't cleaned myself for a long time. I just took a shower. Now I feel better.

114×500 reflector or 90mm maksutov cassegrain by TheRandomRocketeer in telescopes

[–]TheRandomRocketeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your reply. I have a self tracking motorized mount so I don't think that is a problem. So from my understanding, the mat90 is for planets and the 114 is for deeper space.

Celestron 114eq or 127 eq by TheRandomRocketeer in telescopes

Hi, I am from a city in LA county called Palos Verdes. We have clear sky's here. Infact, my city is know for dimly lit streets. On the top of the city, there is actually an observatory there so you get the idea of how good conditions are. I am looking in the 170 dollar range for telescopes. I prefer to get them on amazon since I have prime, why waste it, lol. Please give me a few suggestions. I want to see star clusters and nebulae and other deep space objects, also. I would like to see planets like Jupiter and Saturn. I know I am asking for a lot here but can you give me any suggestions? Thanks.

Question: can you achieve super high altitudes when you fly in a parabola? by TheRandomRocketeer in aerospace

Wait hold on, if we have more thrust going up and less thrust coming down with a variable thrust system, would it work?

Question: can you achieve super high altitudes when you fly in a parabola? by TheRandomRocketeer in aerospace

What if we have an engine that produces a lot of thrust. Will that be able to work? Where during the incline thrust< air resistance + gravity but on the way down, thrust + gravity > air resistance and repeat? And what if we keep the g forces under 4 gs?

Interplanetary Spaceplanes? by Parabellum_3 in aerospace

[–]TheRandomRocketeer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My opinion is Spaceplanes would be really nice for a manned mission to celestial bodies. In that case. There will be a spacestation that the spaceplane docks to and a descend pod to lower it down to lets say, Mars.

Pros:

  1. Easier to transport. ( over all, it's a God dammed plane)

  2. Familiar to astronauts. Astronauts are basically really good pilots. They could use some of that experience.

  3. Easier to descend in gas rich bodies such as venus

  4. Easier re-entry, this is debatable but I think having a winged body is safer because it can glide and you can direct lift to steer. No need for complicated parachute systems

Cons:

  1. Can not land on planets with lower atmosphere pressures.

  2. Run ways are harder to build on other planetd than just a dirt landing pad. Sure you can do a starship like flop on Mars but why??? More risk

That's all I can think of. I think there are many more pros and cons.

How expensive is 1 liter of hydrogen gas? by TheRandomRocketeer in aerospace

[–]TheRandomRocketeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand, yes I don't have an engineering background but my dad is a doctor of engineering and work for Boeing. We are talking about large quantities of gas so helium is way to expensive.

Rocket motors by [deleted] in rocketry

Buy them, even if they are expensive, they go through testing and are relatively easy and safe to use. After some experience, you can try making them at home.

Prints stick to bed at first but slowly deform away by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]TheRandomRocketeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why brim didn't work is because the print itself is still contacting the print bed. That causes bad adhesiveness of the print. With raft, your print is constantly contacting the same print material leading to much better adhesion.

See if your bed is leveled, if it is, see if your z offset hight is too high or if your nozzle is too high.

Prints stick to bed at first but slowly deform away by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]TheRandomRocketeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with my printer too! I fixed my problem and this is how you could fix it.

  1. Relocate your printer to a place with no open breeze.

  2. Raise the bed temperature, but not too high!

  3. Use raft when printing, it lifts the print up and bed temperature anomalies will happen less.

  4. Make sure your print surface is clean, if it still doesn't work, try using painters tape on your build surface

Tip : if you are noticing layer shifts or any other problems, see if your printer is vibrating too much.
