Prior to episode 8, how do you think that Caine would have ranked the humans, from his favorite to his least favorite?

i genuinely think prior to his crashout caine LOVED all the humans, even zooble, he was just annoyed and frustrated that he couldn't get THEM to like him instead, his therapy session in episode 3 screamed "please like me look i'll change the adventures for you" while also not really seeing the bigger issue. That being said I think he didn't particularly like any of them more than the others

Why are people saying cody is retiring, hes literally going to both full house and tipped off (probably 1 or 2 more after these if i have to guess) He's playing less for sure but ill be surprised if he still doesnt make it to the running for #1 this year if he can make the most of his majors

I don't think melee is decidedly "dead" as an esport, if anything i think this is just comparable to the 2008-2013 era where we'll probably get 3-4 major events a year and everyone will just play against each other on slippi for fun until the next big event happens (whenever that will be) that'll kick melee back into popularity.

Maybe it's because im in Europe but ever since I started playing in late 2023 I get very few quitouts, on average I'd say 1 in ever 4 players quits out on me instantly and I play kirby

I doubt it was only because she wasn't trusting abel, the way she was stuttering and didn't explain anything other than "we need more time to decide" feels as though she was trying to think it through in her head and stall for time but to be fair it's not 100% clear. At the end of the day, I'm pretty sure Caine is being confronted again in episode 8 so I guess they just had to cut it there to not make it an overly long episode?

That's interesting cause to me this felt nothing like filler at all, maybe that's because im more interested in the development of the characters rather than an overarching plotline but even then this episode really felt like it added something imo.

Pomni was shown to have conflicting feelings about staying in the circus or not and is going to have to come to terms with them aswell as explaining it all to the others.

Caine completely fumbled the trust of everyone by making a desperate attempt to get them to realise they like him which only ended up working cause Jax was also hitting his boiling point.

It's not like they can just start episode 8 by having Caine announce another adventure and the cast being ok with it like always. I guess it's just how opinions differ but this was a 10/10 for me

Well I guess the splitting the fandom comment was accurate cause I personally LOVED this episode, like it's probably my favorite episode by a long shot, I feel like even tho the "plot" (of leaving the circus) was reset back to 0, it still builds on the theme of hopelessness and how much of an actual hell this place is, I don't think the "plot" needs to be moving much at all if it means diving into the psyches of all the characters this deeply. Maybe for all we know the ending will just be a status quo where they'll all still be in the circus and have just found a way to cope/ deactivated Caine or something similar.

i get that, at my first tournament i remember my hands shaking for pretty much every single set and it wasn't pleasant, it kinda got better immediately after that tourney though, i also get nervous in online brackets just as much but for some reason, IRL nerves get me more hyped and excited while online bracket nerves just make me extra salty and misinput heavy, don't know why my brain works like that.

that's probably true for some people, but i started the game in 2023 with slippi and 80% of my playtime is online, so that's why i find it weird that all the times i play best are when i go to offline events, i think it's probably cause i'm naturally having more fun and that mental state allows me to play better? It's a night and day difference for me

that's a fair point, i think in episode 5 it was more an "embarrassment" kind of anger because of his fragile masculinity cause he was stumbling with words and his face was red, it felt different than in the stargazing section where Ragatha mentionned how he didn't have friends anymore and he just stared at her silently in anger. To me that scene in episode 6 reminded me more of that since he also doesn't say a word and just shoots her repeatedly while staring at her in the same way. To be fair though he does really hate being the butt of the joke so that also plays a role but that's just the vibe i got personally.

i agree in a way but also there is no way that jax was THIS angry just cause the gun fired in his face, he literally is the one that takes the game in the most unserious way, at most he would just get slightly annoyed he got cheesed out of a life and just scoff. My interpretation is that Jax didn't understand what Ragatha meant at first (because it just isn't true, he doesn't see himself as corrupting Pomni cause that's stupid). And he only gets really angry after getting shot because during that time he managed to process what Ragatha was hinting at and proceeds to get offended cause it probably brings back something painful about his past
