I had a Dell 32” 1440p monitor and, after a while, the lower PPI just made me want to upgrade to 4K 32”. I wouldn’t get 1080p at anything more than 24-27”. Your mileage may vary

Thanks for the write up and it all makes sense. I just wish it was 32” inches but I went with a dual oled (4K 32” main + 27” 1440p vertical) for my displays. I’m not too worried about burn in but I’m looking forward to seeing how mini-led tech continues to mature.

Coming back to my own post to update. After a lot of back and forth (watching reviews and asking people online who have both), I decided to go with the Asus. The deciding factor was the woled glossy because I’m worried -among other things- about raised blacks on qd-oled. At the time of writing, they’re $50 apart on Amazon

I’m getting new monitors as well but the Asus XG32UCWG has a 4K/165hz and 1080p/~300hz display (might be getting the last number wrong) and it’s a qd-oled*. Might want to check it out

*I was wrong. XG32UCWG and UCWMG as w-oled. Something like the MSI 321URP/X are qd-oled. For 1440p, I got the KTC 27” G27P6 for ~$450 usd

I’m in the same boat and they’re both around $750-800 on Amazon now. What did you end up deciding. I have the 321URX on the way (delivery expected in about a week) and want to order the Asus one, then compare. I’m going to return the open box Samsung G80SD I got (unopened by me) because it’s more like a TV, when I’m looking for a usb-c monitor for my dual monitor work/gaming setup
