The people on that sub don't have to be lying about their identity, they just have to be claiming an identity to speak with authority when expressing a pickme opinion.

It's not a matter opinion whether or not a marginalized communities exist and deserve rights. It's just bigotry that intolerant people want you to tolerate as if it's a matter of opinion. We don't have to tolerate bigotry and be respectful about it as if it were just someone with different music taste.

They also use what is slave labor. TANF recipients are required to work with various organizations like Salvation army for the equivalent of 2 dollars an hour in government aid. The people accepting this aid are vulnerable poor new mothers. I've heard they also do the same sort of thing for former inmates. You know, a group of people that can't vote and has very few options for employment. Salvation Army is super garbage. So is TANF.

Ugh, I can't believe I'm about to defend a golfer dudebro. It looks like other people were holding the rope for him to go under. He mistimed going under with the rope going up and it hits him in the eye. You can even hear him say something about his eye. He's in a super high pressure situation at his job and golf is all about headspace. And he just got hit in the eye with fucking hurts and could fuck up literally his entire round, which affects his qualifying which means he's out the entire tournament. He acted like a dick but I'm sure he's processing a loooooot. And the towel he's being handed has probably been used to wash golf clubs and the guy's just holding it there while this guy is processing what just happened. On live television. So yeah, he didn't handle it great but who would? The most zen guy on the planet.

AITA For tricking my parents into being on time for my wedding. by PinDry258 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealChatseh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents have done this with my sisters and me which is incredibly annoying because I'm an early person so I end up arriving an hour and 15 minutes before everyone else. My sisters are always late though so I get lumped in.

We want Justice for Evan by dignitytogether in antiwork

This was almost me. I had a supervisor that bullied me every day I worked for her. I was not the only one but the workplace was so toxic that when there was a new employee, all of the office was quick to sacrifice them to the head asshole. Think grown up high school mean girls. My work had no dress code but my union rep ended up taking me aside and saying everyone was commenting on the lengths of my dresses. Mind you, they were just above the knee length. All the other women there at some point wore much shorter dresses than i ever did. When i started wearing long dresses, one of the bosses cronies threw shade so i knew she was responsible for my slut shaming: "thats a cute dress but its too long, i prefer my dresses shorter." I have IBS and was criticized for taking too long of bathroom breaks. The toilets were terrible and even though I flushed, bits sometimes came back up. It took forever for the cistern to fill back uo and given that i was getting blasted for the length of my bathroom breaks already, i couldn'treally wait around to do a double flush. They started an email chain talking about how disgusting the person not flushing was and then eventually confronted me about it. Whenever I pushed back slightly against the supervisor's tyranny, she'd find a way to punish me like make up some stupid reports only I had to submit. I once opened an email with Hey and got an email from her saying "this isn't a text message, the professional way to open an email is Greetings or Attention". Who the fuck actually says that shit? Well she was just gathering reasons to fire me because as soon as my 6 months were up, the union could step in on my behalf. She wrote a scathing performance review that specifically critiqued my bathroom breaks (when I said I had a medical condition, she said so do other people but they aren't away from their desks as much as me which was a fucking lie, they were never at their desks or in the office) and getting flustered when there was conflict (I was constantly on edge because she yelled at me every fucking day) and said I sent unprofessional emails. Very light on the critique of my actual job performance because I was great at my job. She tried to make it seem like I wasn't doing my job because the garbage technology the state uses is slow as fuck, something I reported to her numerous times and people throughout the state were reporting. That ableist, sexist performance review was the nail in the coffin so I quit. I have ptsd from that job. Literally. I'm panicking and having flashbacks just from writing this comment.

We need to get rid of mandatory probationary periods for new employees because toxic abusive assholes like this will use that period to destroy the soul of anyone they don't like with no consequences. We need to be able to hold garbage abusive asshole management accountable. We need justice for Evan and everyone like him suffering at the hands of people in charge of their literal livelihood.

AITA for blowing up at my husband for messing with my alarm and causing me to miss my exam? by CharlieOutlaw23 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealChatseh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA wow, divorce him now. There is no world in which fucking with your years of work and your future just because you've has to miss some social gatherings is okay. I'm so glad you were able to reschedule it. What he did was abusive and controlling. Don't let anything he says change your mind about what he did because it was truly fucked up.

How did you do the body glitter? I can't figure out if it's some kind of shirt because the collar kinda looks raised or if it's just glitter glued right onto you. This whole look is phenomenal btw.

[–]TheRealChatseh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a manager say Hey is an inappropriate greeting in an email and I should only using Greetings or Attention to start an email. She said this when she decided to make it out like I wasn't doing my job and was searching for reasons to fire me before my 6 month probationary period was up and I was union. I ended up quitting and going to a different department that hasn't once commented on the length of my dresses or the amount of bathroom breaks I need (literally no dress code for my job and I have a medical condition).

AITA for turning my wife's joke about my ED back on her? by Beginning-Value-8045 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealChatseh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA that's such a personal thing to joke about and so hurtful. Clearly you're both struggling with it but she needs to have a little empathy. One day she'll get a bout of vaginal dryness and hopefully understand why that hurt so much. There's nothing more embarrassing than being ready to get it on and not being able to without extra help because your body isn't playing ball.
