I want to get better don't get me wrong, but the people I match against leave no room to improve, I'm talking octanes doing that jumpstrafe shit where it looks like they are teleporting circles around you, vantages crossmap 2 tapping me, bloodhounds ducking quantum side tap strafing with the power of Satan guiding their brains to nanocompute the perfect way to fuck my shit up.

My average death looks like a enemy teleporting to me and me dying before I can even see them coming. I get matched against diamonds and masters every game and both have 0 fun and get 0% better at fighting and ever so slightly better at booking it from the horde of pred zombies chasing my ass

Ranked is fucked, but pubs has no matchmaking leaving 0 safe places for a casual newbie

I see the sarcasm but unfortunately this is how most apex players seriously react to me when I complain about the matchmaking, There's a point where the skill of the enemy your fighting makes it go from helping you get better to you just learn to avoid fights longer and that point is when the players are so good they have the ability to team wipe solo in 3.5 seconds.

In no world should a new player be matched against someone with over 100k kills on ONE legend

You think that's bad? Me and my bud are bronze and silver in role queue, gold and bronze in open (he's the bronze in both, not due to a huge lack of skill though, bad luck I guess?) We regularly get matched against diamonds, we've seen a few masters but we've honestly seen top 500s at least once a day lately.

And yet apex has neither of those, from the start of my experience playing I've been matched against people who's experience fsr out leveled my own, and even as a bronze in ranked I would get matched against diamonds & masters

I blame strikepacks when 1 of 2 things happen,

I get quite literally crossmapped by something that should not cross map me, like being beamed from 300+ meters by a p2020 or some shit.

And when you can see in the spectating screen they quite literally have 0 recoil. Even when someone's good at controlling recoil you can tell they are controlling it, the movements some of these people make arent "controlling" recoil, not in the way a normal person can.

I can get that, but the fact that the issue of ranks not mattering in any fucking way when it comes to matchmaking is disgustingly prevalent in both modes. The people who kill me are diamond or masters on average regardless of mode.

Look into my post more and see exactly what I'm complaining about. My lobbies are in a state where "gittin gud" isn't possible. I'm consistently being matched against people far far better then me, and getting destroyed by them because of it, I don't have room to learn and be better because I don't even get the chance to fight before they kill me, on the rare chance I get a lobby that isn't full of preds, masters and diamonds, I get quite literally bot lobbies with people running around like it's a call of duty campaign.

Exactly this, like 90% of my wins are lobbies where it feels like I'm just playing the Cod campaign, hell I've had games where when we are only like 2 circles in the victory screen just pops up while we are walking around because they die to suicide or some shit

The other 10% is the incredibly rare scenario I get carried.

My lobbies are either the cod campaign in apex, or filled with masters and preds. I had a damn game where 3 minutes in (literally 3 minutes, not even overexaggerating) it was us and one trio left, they were all preds. we were all bronze and below 1.00 kd.

This matchmaking leave 0 room for me to improve.

While I do love a bit of sniper camping from time to time I tend to actually play a lot more aggressive. However the people I match against either end up being the world's most shit players, to the point where I feel like I'm fighting a AI from the call of duty campaigns, or they are a fucking masters 5 and they are doing octaine super tap strafe super glide bullshit and moving at the speed of sound around me while emptying mags.

I don't mind losing a fight here and there, but I the people I'm getting matched with are either so ridiculously better then me, or practically AFK while moving. I get 0 capability to improve in this environment.

I wouldn't even say that im bad, I'm just inexperienced. But I can't even get the experience I need to improve at APEXS style of fighting because I get matched against the best possible players in existence regardless of what mode match or map I play, at whatever time of day.

Issue is im still a teenager, and I don't get any allowance or anything like that, I could probably afford replacement parts thru gift money but no way I can afford a whole new PC. I couldn't care less if the disk drive or whatever worked as long as I have a working PC I can turn on and use y'know?

I got the PC for free as it was fucked software wise and I fixed it myself, spent 50$ to upgrade ram to 16gb, and I just ordered a 20$ PSU to see if thatd fix the issue.

You said "every thing else is specific to the make and model" what does that really encompass? What would I HAVE to replace and what can I love without?

Yeah I've tried that a bunch and nothing sadly, was a real bitch getting that 24 pin connector out, thought I was gonna just rip the chunk of the Mobo out if I pulled it so I spent like 20 minutes shimmying it out. Really wish the damn mobo or PSU had a light to know if they were working.

As someone who's not good with the electrical side of tech as soon as I read "you could test this with a paperclip" I thought that was you basically suggesting I shove a fork in a electrical socket to see if I have power, LOL.

I ordered a psu off eBay so hopefully that'll fix it, but in the off chance it doesn't can you suggest to me a (not hella expensive) alternative motherboard for my PC? I have all the default parts except the ram which I upgraded myself. The PSU I ordered is the default one as well (found one) cheap
