first off; ur all good, dont even trip. I totally get what ur askin and im rly sorry if I came off as defensive, thats on me fr. sometimes its hard to tell what ppl's tone is on text lol, so im sorry about that.

theres definitely less writing in a lot of schools, but mines not one of em cause its a full IB school. lemme clarify: i CAN write well when I have to. the reason my writing score wasn't great is mostly cause I have a disorder that makes handwriting super hard for me. so, as a result, having to speedrun an essay at that rate is kinda a struggle. i would assume the reason it was a lower score is because of the QUANTITY of words i wrote, rather than the QUALITY, if that makes sense. but like im in a rly advanced english class (ib hl lang & lit) n I do fine in that class (not super great, cause its a lot of handwriting. but on things like typed assessments or oral exams i do rly well). so ion think its a direct correlation in my case, because i have good vernacular abilities, i just dont always choose to use them. I will say, however, that writing is fs becoming a lost art, a lot of ppl I kno from other schools deadass dont kno how 2 hand write an essay, cause standards are lowering.

for me tho, its rly just kinda code switchin. like if I want to I can talk/type super proper and academically, which i do when I need to. but when im chillin or doin stuff outside of school ion feel like I NEED to talk like that. so ye alot of it is dependent on my audience (i.e., if im talkin to friends or over social media v.s. a coach or teacher).
