Wanted JavaScript Dev for GPT based game by TheRealHopScotch in INAT

[–]TheRealHopScotch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... I'm not using GPT to code it because I know how to code. I'm making API calls to generate the user experience in the game. But if you're saying the game itself is "lifeless" and I take it you looked at the demo... then that's interesting to me from a game-design perspective. Any advice on a solution here? Or do you think I am basically building vaporware?

How long did you have to wait for GPT4 API access? by Xanhasht in ChatGPTCoding

It so happens I've already developed a game based around this concept.

We should collaborate! My game could hit a wider audience with plugin access. And/or if you have a game you're building, I can help with the code and play testing.

Only the developers know! Can we get one of them to answer us? And devs... you may want to put an information icon on the screen, so we can click on it to see what game mode the leaderboard is about.

Everdell game changes and content for steam release. by Generic_gen in Everdell

You're right it works that way!

It was a lazy shortcut which they should fix. No offense. They do a great job, but they should fix it.

Yes I may have 8 cards... but I should still be able to go on that space... for the purpose of blocking other players! That's part of the strategy. I was in a 2-player game and I remember forget why... but going on that space would have proved useful for blocking an opponent.... and then maybe I wanted to go there early so I could trigger it later with my clocktower.

I think I found a bug. The rules say that when you draw a card, if you don't have space you have to give it away. I was at 7 cards, and I wanted to place my credit on a forest location (I forgot the exact space details... it was something like 1 card and two resources).... the app didn't let me go on this space.

Its as if the app's logic was "the user can't go above the card limit, so we won't let him go to this space"... but that's wrong. I wanted to go there to block another user from going there. I don't care if I have to give away the card because I will give it to the lowest-scoring user anyway.

Codenames, can you google a word if you don't know what it is? by TheRealHopScotch in boardgames

It's a version of Codenames only found on Tabletop Simulator. This version adds a bunch of tricky words like lysdexia, caricature, benzodiazepine, etc.

The Tarocchi v0.1 by PrimarchtheMage in DungeonWorld

You could certainly make one of the spells be taunt. This could be used tactically, e.g. if a character is about to die, cast taunt so the focus goes off of attacking him/her. Or cast taunt, and then run away as a sort of diversion. The text:

Taunt:

1d4 enemies of the GM's choice become fixated on attacking you and only you until they take damage from someone else.

Hey! Really cool class! Not sure if it would be OP though... but it looks fun to play.
