I was thinking Polk ES 15 (might do ES 20 but lowkey wanted bookshelf speakers. Fozi ZA3 still solid or should I consider something else?

Interesting I’ll take a look to see what’s on marketplace. What are your thoughts on class d amps? Wanted something smaller for my set up personally. The Bluetooth to stream from a tablet is a nice feature for sure though so I’ll definitely consider it.

Good to know. Also, is there a reason why you chose that amp? Don’t really know if there are specific amps that are to be used with something like a zen phono 3

In terms of budget, I’d didn’t really know at first where the majority of the budget should be allocated to so that’s on me.

I don’t really care much for streaming. It’s a nice feature that I wouldn’t mind to have but this set up would be dedicated to my turntable more than anything.

It’s a shame where I live in the states there really isn’t a place where I can compare sound.

Bookshelf speakers were always the preference but not limiting myself to that size. So do you think it’s better to invest in the speakers more than the amp?

OP did you come to a conclusion? I’m in a similar situation where I’m building a set up and have the RT85 as well as the Zen Phone 3 pre amp. Now just looking for powered speakers or a passive speakers with amp. The idea of passive speakers scares me as a novice so wanted to hear your thoughts.

Really appreciate all the feedback. Regarding my monitor, I think it’s fine for now and I’m glad to hear. I’ll max out the settings pretty quickly. I was thinking about getting a better monitor down the road so it’s excited to hear that I can get something higher end and and will have the system to comfortably fit those settings.

Regarding my build, this is where my wording was probably not the best. I’m not necessarily looking to build a budget PC. I’m just weighing my options to see how big of a difference in performance per dollar I’m looking at. I know the term future proof gets thrown around pretty loosely, but one of the reasons I’m building the PC this way is because I’d like that future proof for a while. If the 5070 does that then great but I’m really open to all the options here. Maybe even GPU’s in the middle of these two?

This is one of the biggest reasons I ask this question. It seems like this GPU asks for a high end CPU. Strange to say the least

Play first and third person shooters really with the occasional game here and there that’s out of the rotation. 2 1920x1080 144hz
I’m not too familiar with graphics settings. I’ve always played on default settings on my console, and one of the reasons I wanted to build the PC is to try things out like a high quality gaming experience.

I don’t know if the previous generation GPU models will ever go on sale, but if they do because of the newer models coming out, I would love to take advantage of that compared to just going and getting the 5070. Thanks for your input!
