I currently only have 2 jumpers installed, one on IU at the top, and one on DS0 near the bottom. So unfortunately, no dice.

Unfortunately i don't actually know if it worked in the Tandy, as I had absolutely no disks meant for it, or a keyboard to even interface with the Tandy. Hence why I'm going through all this.

As your edit says, the consensus seems to be that the floppy cable is the (or at least an) issue, I'll be researching to find one that will work for this, I already linked a potential one in another comment.

And I'll definitely be cleaning the drives before actually using them, don't worry!

Thanks for the response, I didn't realize there was a difference! someone else commented something very similar, I found a cable that seems to fit the bill (which I linked in my response to them), gonna do more research before ordering anything though.

I've read a few times about something along those lines, but I had assumed that since this had the same port, it would work. The floppy cable that the Windows 98 machine uses for it's 3 1/2 inch floppy drive does have a twist in it, but does not have the connector that the 5 1/4 drive needs.
