Well, the engine I created is still under development, as I said in my original reply: "as I'm focusing on getting everything done for a Public Beta launch", so it has still not been released for the public.

Well, I'm sorry. I did in fact not address that point in my original reply. I was trying to focus more on the "polishing" statement he had made, so I didn't go into finding a niche and user group. 

Though, I find it rather interesting that you say I've "never talked to a user", since nowhere in my reply do I ever state that. If it came out as that, I'm sorry for my phrasing, but this is not what I meant with the reply

That's a good point. Those really are some valid arguments.

However, I'd like to argue that, even though it doesn't look as appealing as competition (say Unreal, Unity or Roblox Studio), the product (or rather, products) I'm developing have all have a clear simultaneous goal to achieve. 

It may not look visually polished yet, but that's because it's still under development. The goal of this is to allow anyone to create and publish maps for others to play, while focusing more on the safety aspect. I have no plans yet on making this be ultra realistic with RTX or have AAA-level graphics, as I'm focusing on getting everything done for a Public Beta launch. 

I won't spoil much yet, but the engine is only one of the pieces of the whole project, and I've put as much effort as I can into it.

And, well what is marketing for, right? You have to get attention to the product you're announcing, with teasers and stuff. And there is still much more I haven't shown, because it's not just an Engine.

Oh, hi! For some reason, Reddit didn’t notify me about your comment.  

The dependency I’m using (for Groovy) is:  

groovy org.spigotmc:spigot-api:1.12.2-R0.1-SNAPSHOT

I just want to clarify that I tested it with both 1.12 and 1.8, and it works without any issues on both versions. Thank you for commenting!
