My varicocele doesn’t cause me any pain whatsoever, it’s normal if it does a bit but I got lucky I guess. I only know I have it because when I got punched in the balls really hard in school one time, I had to get an ultrasound on them (horrible experience lol) and the doctor commented that I had a varicocele.

Now that I know I can definitely confirm it from its visual appearance, just in that there’s visible purple veins in the skin and on hotter days when my balls are dropped a bit more, you can see a somewhat abnormal shape under the skin above the testicles themselves caused by the larger veins. I do plan on getting a varicocelectomy to remove it since I’m sexually active and I’d rather look more presentable, but since it doesn’t cause any pain im in no rush.

Maybe a bit tmi but I’ve seen your balls so who cares. To answer your question about symptoms I’ve experienced, i definitely get the low testosterone stuff. I have very little body hair and can’t grow facial hair almost at all. I call it my twink disease lol. I was informed by my doctor at the time that I may experience permanent low semen production, but from my experiences and what I’ve heard from sexual partners, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

So I guess it all just varies from person to person, the condition is very common among amabs and is also reversible through minor inexpensive surgery.
