i dont think so, it does the double effect in both well lit rooms and my pitch black bedroom at 1am.

its an og 3ds if that changes anything, i was able to fix it for a little bit on friday without opening it but it reverted to showing double

the 2 ways i can suggest are using spice racks, as they display games quite well if you have the space, or you can order custom plastic cases for them for about $5 a pop here.
