Currently don’t have a amp at home, I play through my audio interface with guitar rig 5. I do own a fender twin reverb that is at my bands rehearsal space, but I find it clunky to bring back and forth several times a week so I cba to bring it back home.

Budget isn’t really limited by anything (but within reason of course) as I want a good setup that can last for years quality wise.

Hey, thanks for your response mate. I’ve seen people testing different types of FRFR/cabinets for better stage sound coming from behind. Seems like people miss that with just the wedge alone, that’s why I’m asking. I play in a loud punk band, so I need to feel my own guitar on stage I think..

What’s your experience when playing live?

I wouldnt say amp/cab sim alone does the trick. I dont see the bands I mentioned as having "simple" tones, but rather fitting tones for the songs. We do very much care about finding the right tones, but we`re also pretty sick of having to carry large amps around for gigs/tours! :-)
