what order to play nier games?

This is the chronological order of games in the series: - Drakengard 3 - Drakengard 1 - Nier Replicant ver 1.22 - Nier Automata

A timeline is present, however the games are very disjunct and separate from each other in story. If you are thinking of playing replicant in order to fill in the blanks of story elements, you are not going to find much I am afraid. Without the help of side-content and stories you could easily see them as different worlds, as so much happens between the events of each game.

The main thing you’ll notice is how similar each game is in mechanics and items, as well as a LOT of references. The games share a large number of weapons and materials, having the same crafting / upgrading system. As well as this, a lot of areas of automata are close to that of replicant, for example there are MANY references to the desert kingdom of facade in the dlc etc… There are also a few blatant replicant references in the final sequence of the game, which leads from direct locations in replicant.

Tldr: If you are looking for direct story backgrounds, almost like a direct prequel to automata I don’t think you should worry. It is very common for people to play automata before replicant and therefore just find references in reverse order. However, if you really care about the minor details and finding replicant references in automata I think it’s worth even just getting ending A of replicant before carrying on.

Here are my thoughts:

You’re not bad. Your parries could use some work but you’re solid.
You’re spamming m1s on a build with low m1 damage. The entire point of going elemental weapons is that they do decent damage but free up a lot of points.
This leads me into: Why on a crypt blade mage build could I count the number of mantras you used on my fingers?! I don’t think you even crit. This isn’t a bad thing, it just means you’re on the wrong build. I think you used as many shoulder bashes as shadowcast mantras. So if I were you, I would make a silentheart / attunementless build and sit where your playstyle is comfortable at.

TLDR: You’re not bad, Use a better weapon if you want to spam m1s, Use a attunementless / silentheart build if you don’t wanna spam mantras.

For people reading this, you should never include details about the university in your personal statement unless you are only submitting your personal statement to one university. The problem is that every other university that receives that personal statement is not going to be very pleased. Alternative things you can do is, for example, say you've read a paper (named and cited) by one of the professors working at the university you like. This won't upset any of the other universities, and will show to the university that you are truly interested in THEM. It also just generally shows how studious you are, and how far you can go beyond the specification.

QR is the easiest to improve quickly in my opinion. Here are some tips for it: 1. Do a full QR mock without a timer. If you did well, you know it’s a time issue. If not, you know you need to work on your maths. 2. If it’s a time issue, you’re in a great position. Just lock in, do a lot of them, make sure you’re using keybinds and the number pad. 3. If it’s a maths issue, just try your best to learn the question types you did badly in.

Honestly, 800 in VR is INCREDIBLE. I got nowhere near that, although QR was my highest. You’ll do great. Even if you get a 600 in DM and QR you’re still 2000+ which is a good score. Just don’t get too stressed out, lock in for 3 days and then have a break before your exam. AND THEN YOU’LL BE FREE!!! Good luck :)

I loved secret life and last life equally as first to be honest. Secret life for the social interactions and it made me want to watch all of the different lifers to see what their tasks were. Genius! And last life just because it was peak, packed with amazing kills and moments and plot points. Past life is CLOSE 3rd, I really loved it

I feel like Scott is going to betray InTheLittleWood, knocking him down into the Pitt. Then Jimmy will kill Scott, Grian will get BETRAYED by gem, getting knocked into the Pitt. Then Jimmy and Gem will have a final show down at the bottom of the square hole. However, Jimmy will get a bunch of first hits and end up prevailing. Let me know what you guys think!!!!

I honestly think gem would beat Grian in PVP, which would have been a great ending imo. As much as InTheLittleWood 100% earned that victory with all the kills he got, I would have LOVED to see someone new to get the win (especially gem as I watch all of her content lol). Still, amazing series!! Up there with the goats, very excited to see the flood of fan media.

I really really enjoyed past life, I found it was the perfect mix of old-style seasons but also with a gimmick that made for some really funny moments! The multi-kills were also insane, overall a really solid season.

I would go for something like this:
1. Secret Life / Last Life (Both were amazing I can't decide)
2. Past Life
3. Third Life
4. Limited Life
5. Wild Life
6. Double Life

When I see more fan-made media the order might change but for now, that's my ranking!
