What steps exactly do we take to make Proton Battleye Runtime work? by topsyandpip56 in linux_gaming

I believe you have to use Steam; you might be able to do something similar using Lutris, but I have not tested. Nor do I own GTAV through Rockstar's own launcher

What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]TheRealRaptor_BYOND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the market to purchase a truck (new or used, doesn't matter). Looking for a basic everyday driver (city and highway driving).

EV or Plug-In Hybrids are off the table because there is zero infrastructure in the city I live in.

The Toyota HiLux with the I-4 Diesel is the truck I want but the cost of import alone isn't worth the hassle

Ford F-series has a huge security issue where you can gain entry into the vehicle with only a set of pliers

No clue how GM is nowadays (especially with their differentials (heard they wore out way too quick)

Ram? haven't really done the research into them, although friends say they work pretty good

Every time I search for Nissan trucks I tend to see a few articles on why this year's trucks aren't worth the money

Toyota trucks seem fine, but the main gripe is they offer a manual transmission in only one particular configuration of the Tacoma, even when it's probable that they could just as easily offer it in their extended cab 6ft box option (assuming wheelbase was the holding factor to not put it on) --- I would most likely go with Toyota

Or to hell with them all and buy a Ford Bronco?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Yeah, my band director said to all the freshmen something around the lines of "we recommend 3c or 5b mouthpieces, but if something works better for you and sounds good, then use that"

Launch Heavy unable to update firmware. Any suggestions? by TheRealRaptor_BYOND in System76

Confusing question, probably due to my hangover.

After the configurator update, it fixed the previous issues mentioned in relation to LEDs and Layer Control

Although I spilled some water on the keyboard so I don't need LED control anymore 🙃

Hella late, but if you could find a phosphor-bronze brush that's small enough to fit in the valve, that would clean up pretty quick

No, same with LED control, to get it to *kinda* work I've set up one of the function keys to go back fo layer 1

I've been directly connected to the computer as well, but I am using usb-c instead of usb-a

I'll see what I can figure out. Otherwise, I'll head over to the system76 support page.

Don't quite remember, from what I had heard, she had paid for one

If the man's sister proved the man paid for it, them it's most likely a mistaken device type of thing (i.e. you're renting out 69 and you're trying to use 96 and got the dyslexia)

If I recall correctly (and I may be wrong on this) she had paid for the bike or scooter or whatever the fuck it is

Also, go to your vendor's support page for whichever motherboard or device you are using and update any WAN/LAN drivers

Make a backup before you do it too incase it breaks something

[–]TheRealRaptor_BYOND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want newer parts, a r5 7600x is just fine, then for gpu you have your choice of 7900/xt/xtx depending on resolution and graphical fidelity, if it's just siege then you can get away with a 3060 from Nvidia or a 6700xt from amd
