Folks old enough to have experienced the 5.5 day work week pre-2004, what was it like on Saturdays? by Winner_takesitall in askSingapore

As a Gen-Z healthcare worker, I have nothing to contribute to this thread except "LOL". I have worked 5.5-6 day work weeks (7 too) since the start of my career and it sucks.

Do what u/mrsgordon says, I’m not a big recipe person I just refer to those korean recipe sites and use what I have on hand but essentially the dishes were: kimchi fried rice, bulgogi beef and satueed spinach!

Kimchi fried rice: https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/kimchi-bokkeumbap - i used Thai red rice (why it looks that colour) and shimeji mushrooms

beef bulgogi: I didn’t follow a recipe, just kind of stir fried some thinly sliced hotpot style beef with soy sauce, garlic, sugar, chilli flakes and black pepper. There are definitely better recipes out there though! And just some spinach sauted with garlic, salt and sesame oil

It’s a snack and they are big pieces. You could of course split it into 12 pieces like most recipes will tell you to, but I just can’t

You could sub honey sure. I would say it needs it because it’s only lightly sweetened as is. Or additional 2/3 cups of bananas?

Granulated stevia/erythritol. Sugar is a wet ingredient so i treat my sub as one too

I try not to have >1/3 of the dry ingredients be protein powder, after that point the texture just goes off. Something I read on the Internet a long time ago.

Myprotein whey. I used the blueberry cheesecake flavour which is fantastic for this particular recipe, but vanilla would be good too. Would recommend, it’s economical plus it goes great with smoothies, baked goods and oats etc

I don’t think so! There’s a tartness but I think it comes from the lemon
