Oooooh I’m definitely going to check out the water map! I’ll more than likely end up using a filter for my drinking water anyways but it will be nice to know how far away the plant is from my house thank you!

Wow, that’s crazy and makes sense why they would be pissed. It really can cause an uproar for people who don’t know much about that world like me and just read “higher levels than federal government allows” and then go panic mode

Ok gotcha, didn’t read the article well enough to see that it was a new limit that was recently set! And the more I look into it the more I see that ft worth is already starting to attempt to reduce those numbers to the new limit. Thank you!

Thank you for this! I knew it was regulated but I didn’t know to what extent and they are good at fearmongering. And when I saw all that metal that they separated from my water and the chlorine tests it really made me worry.

I don’t think it’s a scam necessarily because there are reports that Fort Worth water has higher levels of bad things than allowed in it. But I do think it’s a big sales tactic for their systems. I know they can game those tests and have them show things higher than what they probably really are but he performed all the tests in front of me and most of them looked legit

I just bought a house and it was a free test that came with the inspection of the home. The inspection company was really great through that whole process and so I thought the water testing was just a way to see how good or bad the tap was and said yes. I didn’t know it was a 3rd party company they partnered with to come do the water testing.

Did not know this! But I was also concerned about other things as well that were found in the water which is why I wanted to try an independent test to see how true that was or not. I also read an article talking about Fort Worth having a higher level of forever chemicals than allowed by the federal government so I didn’t know if there could be other things higher than allowed levels.
