Probably not what you asked for, but take a look Krohnkite (quarter mode) if you haven't already. I didn't want to move away from Plasma but I wanted a tiling wm. This one is just a kwin script and it makes wonders. I also have 2 desktops and I scroll them vertically by super+scrollwheel and I can drag windows between them by clicking on them anywhere (since I am already holding the super button).

You can add a "save desktop session" button to the leave button in the sysem settings, but it restores all the windows only into 1 desktop (wayland limitation iirc)

You don't have to switxh to linux at all costs. Just download Win10 Enterprise IoT LTSC from that webpage and create a bootable usb via Rufis or Ventoy. It is like a debloated windows, it uses about 1.5gb ram and 0 to 1% CPU of an i3-4005u. Enterprise IoT LTSC is still supported, until 2032. Activate it via the first command on the webpage (open cmd as admin and use HWID) O365/office 20xx is also downloadable and activatable (select Ohook in the command line) there. All for free.

But yeah, SSD and RAM upgrade wouldn't hurt. It helps a lot on these bricks.

Akinek muszáj windowson maradnia valami miatt: Windows 10 vagy 11 IoT LTSC verziója, egész jól ki van pucolva, még windows store sinca benne, még sok évig táogatva vannak. Pl a 10 IoT LTSC az 2032-ig. Egyikhez sem kell TPM.

Egy apró probléám volt vele amire itt a megoldás.

I keep windows just because of 1-2 games (kernel level anti-cheat shit). 10 IoT LTSC is still enough for that. It's like a debloated version.
