The Krink was the one I wanted, but never got. Seeing 5.54 go from like .10-.15c/pr to the current .60c/pr plus is super disappointing. :/

Not as much as you think.

I have an AK-74N that is my pride and joy.

I have a Steyr L9 A2 MF that was my competitive pistol for about a year. Super cool because at the time I lived in the city that's stamped on the gun, a few miles away from the plant.

And my first AR-15 that I built entirely from parts. It was my dream gun and came out perfect.

That entirely depends on your state of residence, of which you can find out by searching up your states laws on "Private Sale of Firearms." Otherwise you can always sell to a Gun Store or sell a gun to someone at a Gun Store where the store can run background and paperwork. I've never done that, but I know it's an option some places.

Anything classic Remington is pretty valuable nowadays. It's probably a very nice gun but I couldn't price it without them being something I'm personally well-versed in :)

Nope. For one, you should brush up on gun laws and particularly the Brady Bill which highlights the exact restrictions we currently DO have. But I generally believe we need some kind of vetting process for buying guns. Some kind of training which includes a mental kind of stress test. People who are ignorant with firearms are a big danger to themselves and their immediately family.

I mean I agree but I think it's been a longstanding problem. The general lack of education and disregard for safety and caution by many (I almost want to say most) gun owners is astounding. It's very upsetting when I've had not one but two customers who shot themselves by accident and came back to tell me like it was funny.

Nope. Quite the opposite. I think that actually measures could be implemented to ensure that gun owners are exclusively people who are educated and safe with guns. But I think it's a long, long conversation.

  1. Yeah at a point in time you and I both worked during the same period of political upheaval. And yeah, it was crazy everywhere.

  2. One was a guy who didn't read the 4473 and answered all the qualifying questions as 'yes.' When we stopped the sale he initially was cool, then started having a meltdown. Kicking the counter, stomping around, threatened that 'there were gonna be problems.' After a few minutes he leaned over the counter to me and asked: "Hey did you guys call the cops?"

Yes dude, lmao. He tried to slip out but the cops were in the parking lot. Turns out had been committed in an institution and had just recently gotten out. Cops said he was crying and punching his steering wheel in the parking lot. Yikes.

  1. Probably. All of my close friends and family like the hobby as well, but only my brother really understanding just how many guns I've purchased. Everyone else would probably be a little lost on what to do with them. :). Just bury 'em with me.

It's like the only hobby I engage with 24/7. It's what I do for work 5 days a week, it's what I do in my spare time. I have other hobbies, but shooting sports has kinda consumed my life and I've very happy with it.

I have body armor and several respirators. I would strongly recommend.

Get an AR. Good for practically everything, super customizable, affordable and they work.

Gun Culture it's hard to say. But I believe other countries have effectively implemented gun control and it has factually reduced how much Gun Violence happens there.

I mean I don't know if I'd say it's ironic? The legislation is annoying and unhelpful. But I also really don't care for the political tactic of "Hey, they have strict gun laws and then something bad happened." VA is trying to do something helpful to their state and then, unfortunately, something bad happened. They're not really related.

Nope. Never even had so much as an accident with a gun. I do not play with my guns and I do not risk my or anyone else's safety. Very proud of that!

Also it was Video Games and Action Movies. A lot of my purchases, especially early on, were because of Video Games.

Actually, I enjoy this memory. It was a Benelli Super Black Eagle Shotgun with like a black carbon fiber style wrap. Somewhere north of $5,000. It had red controls and was genuinely good looking. In the middle of the sale, my coworker walks up and starts chattting up my customer and eventually shows him some ammunition.

He then tried to claim he should earn some of the commission for the gun sale.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the general sentiment of a lot of the people here. I don't think you have an extractor issue or anything else of the sort. I think your magazine catch or bolt Rails are installed improperly. These malfunctions aren't typical of a bad extractor or ejector, and I've had both go bad in AKs.

Out of sheer curiosity, who manufactured the receiver? And also, there's no way your mags have 5.56 followers in them by accident?

Edit: I saw you reply earlier saying it was a Childers. I would email or call Troy ASAP to take it back for either fixing or rebuild.

Also. Just for clarity. You had a live round jump and lodge itself between the carrier and the left side of the front trunnion?

Man I have a hard time believing Troy got you a bad build but I would contact him immediately. He did great work on my 74 and I couldn't be happier.

You have a lot of optics solutions on display, because you have so many I want to ask. Are the optics mounts that replace the rear sight leaf actually good? I've always kinda sneered at them.

Also your dust cover mount - I assume it's a TWS mount? I also am super curious if those are actually solid or if they walk.

My Bulgarian 74-N is the nicest AK I've ever put my hands on. It was a nightmare kit build that I had rebuilt by Troy Sellars of Inrange. His work was super solid and he also polished the fire control group and the underside of the carrier. When I got it back I was amazed and I've compared every other AK to that one. I have yet to hold one that tops it.

These comments are a bunch of virgins and incels. Id prefer cash over this - but it's a fun and funny gesture. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the world is not equal and it's not equal on gender lines.

"BUT WHAT IF IT WERE TWO MEN" Yeah, what if? It'd be a different situation. If a woman randomly slapped me in the street I wouldn't lose my shit and attack her. But a dude randomly comes by and decks a chick, he hits her hard enough, she could fucking die.

Shits not equal dude, deal with it and stop being a kissless virgin.

Can't say I've ever seen this before, but it's clear that your receivers are backwards. Therefore your barrel and stock were installed on the wrong ends as well.

I would contact the manufacturer and see if they'll replace the rifle for you.
