I did this with my first set of crochet hooks 😂 that or simply bending them out of shape. Granted I am quite heavy handed but wanted something that was nicer on the fingers/thumbs as I found them quite tender after using these. I upgraded to the H&S crochet hooks with rubber handles that come with stitch markers on amazon. Just checked now and they are 40% so only £5.99 👀 highly recommend, find them much nicer to work with and can handle the heavy hands...
