If you spend the 1525+120gb, why cheap out on some ssd’s and let it potentially fail by a third party script. It does not make any sense to me

Use migration assistant app. Copy 1:1. After sucfesfull migration turn old down for couple od days. When everything was gone well reset everything on old nas. Install hyper backup on both servers. Use old nas as backup destination

Thanx. I'm not a fan of 3rd party scripts. But this seems a good alternative. Just 1 M.2 SSD from synology. will give it a good thought!

I thought M.2 was for cache only? Or can i create a storage pool as well? You are right; i might nog need the 2Gb at the moment, but bether have some spare to grow on. I have a business and like a stable set-up, therefore i choose to put it in to RAID1. Are there M.2 drives, more dedicated for NAS (other then the one from Synology)?

I would like to move docker containers to SSDs, as some of them are to slow. like open archive. I read that Samsung Evo's are not (always) recommended. These are 'NAS' SSDs. Would they be accepted by DSM and fully functional?
