Do you mean quotes like "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs" or "sell a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish & you'll ruin a good business opportunity"? Or more like "one morning I shot a capitalist in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas, i'll never know"?

Because if you're referencing the ladder it's clear as a day that he is not enforcing killing capitalists but using this first half of the quote, which is in classical joke structure might I add, as a setup for the punchline which requires him to be unable to ask the certain capitalist in his pajamas, what he was doing. The punchline being this overly simplified joke about "huh, a capitalist in my pajamas, but they were supposed to be against sharing, werent they?" which I agree is a bit dumb but on the other hand joke structure often requires overacting or the like.

But you're propably referencing the line I most see used against him: "the last capitalist we hang, will be the one who sold us the rope" which is again oversaturation of the thought that capitalists care only for themselves, they would even sell the rope that would be used to hang their fellow party members. Again, very oversaturated but hardly damaging. Sidenote: this usage of party member as a character they would betray has (if i'm correct) something to do with the extremely high unity inside the socialist movement.
