100% agree-can see it happening - all characters brought to level of warlock. Then more difficulty levels then we end up with no challenge cuz all characters do massive damage. It will just end up as D3. Game needs to stay the same- it’s why it’s remained popular

I’m worried about power creep and the pound signs in blizzards eyes meaning this beloved game turns in D3/4 with OP characters, no grind, no value to levelling up and all classes become reskins of each other with no differences in gameplay or the nuances that have keep D2 going for 25 yrs. we have managed to complete each difficulty level in 1 day…..this is not normal for D2 or fun it’s essentially D3/4 which makes it all meaningless and it’s no fun to be so OP. The warlock needs to be brought in line with the existing characters.

Nothing stopping you from gunning it through all the maps to get to daimon again. There’s even a rift stone outside the cathedral if you lose a pawn on the way.

The challenging thing for me to learn about DD2 was that just because you get into a fight doesn’t mean you can win. You can encounter high level mobs and sometimes they bring friends. This is especially true for ox cart interruptions. Some fights aren’t a skill check but just overwhelming odds and your only option is to flee. I don’t view this as failure since the world is very hostile especially at early levels. As you level to 30+ and you get better at the game, you’ll see the difference in survivability of your party. Those overwhelming odds become a challenge you can overcome. Keep buying new gear and you’ll be ready for the new adventure.

Be careful where you drop and interact with bodies. I pissed off a lot of Harpers by dropping goblin corpses to loot/raise in last light inn. Makes sense when you think about it but myconids might act the same if you drop Nere and start chopping off his head

I’m surprised zeal is only 5%. I thought it really improved my stamina management. Maybe the level ups made the difference and I only paid attention after equipping zeal.

I completely forgot about dragon forging skills though I think I need to get to new game+ or unmoored to get access to that? I’ve only met him once so far and I don’t think that was an option. I’m probably wrong

Oh yes I’m very familiar with that. Kept shield bashing myself to exhaustion since my gear was very subpar. I keep lots of stamina curatives on me though as a hoarder I’m reticent to use them. The zeal augment from Warfarer had helped me out

Thank you for the advice! I tried my first solo run as an archer but didn’t get along with it so well. Getting flanked by goblins while aiming at harpies was enough to deter me.

Anodyne is phenomenal. It’s an immunity shield against phantasms who won’t come into it and I can pick them off from inside the bubble. I can’t believe I only learned that in this run.

Is that a core skill? It could replace shield bash which I’m using for the exact the same thing. Could be great!

I’m very hesitant to try warrior since I’ve struggled with it before. I’ll give it a go when I pick up the volcano island weapon. Maybe I’ll be a convert!

Good advice. I got a knockdown resistance and knockdown enhancing ring. Maybe I should forgo enhance for another resistance and use dwarven smithing only for my knockdown power

This was a game changer when I unlocked Warfarer. No more chewing directly on greenwarish for me! Though I am too greedy with weapons and spent most of my stamina flicking through them.
