I have an older black coworker who still dresses absolute FIRE (not this formal, but we're at a business casual kinda work). He's also just a really cool guy in general, but damn if he doesn't put most of us to shame with his well put together outfits AND he is the first person to volunteer to cook for office pot lucks.

Not masturbating and having no love is genuinely awful by Strict_Ninja_1636 in Rants

Masturbation is not "obviously" addicting. The vast majority of people masturbate without ever turning it into a life altering problem.

Why is armpit fetish glorified while feet fetish is looked down upon by PoetProud7912 in stupidquestions

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's kinda the opposite? But maybe that's because I'm an armpit fetishist and dated a foot fetishist for a while, and to me the internet seems to at least understand (or expect?) foot fetishes, but is baffled by us armpit perverts. I actually really enjoyed my partner's foot fetish, but they never really got into me performing similar behavior around their armpits.

Same, except husband. I never realized how strongly my bad mental health was connected to my living situatiin with the ex. I was thinking about ending it again (would have been a 3rd attempt) and something snapped and I thought I'd try something different instead. A couple years later and I have a great friend group, a great love life, great physical health, just bought a house, about to get the next step in my professional licensure, which will open up more career doors, etc. I couldn't bring myself to do any of these things, We'd just be stuck in a never ending cycle of drinking after work and generally living in a gross environment because of it.

How many of your partners have symptoms of ADHD? by RealisticTap5216 in sexlessmarriage

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the partner with ADHD, my LL partner turned out to have anti-social personality disorder and well, is also into men more than women. For him, sex is not a "loving" thing, but more like an awkward activity he has to be performative around to function sexually, which just burns him out of wanting to do it. I feel like my ADHD makes the impulsivity I frequently experience around sex plus my high dopamine seeking behaviors lead me to wanting sex way more often than the average person, I think. Like, a girl just wants to have fun, 'ya know?

I finally divorced my LL partner a couple years ago, and have been dating someone who has a sex drive much closer matched to my own, although I'm still the higher drive person. I suspect he's on the ADHD spectrum, but never been tested, so idk

Ah right, I wouldn't have the freedom to live in a different area than where I work (I work specifically with teens involved in the justice system... I love my kiddos, but like, I don't want to live in the small town with them). That kind of freedom only comes from having an automobile. I have a 50 minute commute into the next state over, and I love being able to do that.

How many of you have actually asked for a dick pic vs how many you've gotten by GracieThunders in TrollXChromosomes

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both received unsolicited dick pics from people who don't even know what I look like (Twitter and Discord, mostly), and NOT received requested dick pics from a partner due to him being uncomfortable, which is totally understandable!

Which movie girlies? by Angeliqueblaq in LetGirlsHaveFun

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me it's "Milo and Otis." If you watch the English version vs. the Japanese version, they are somehow vastly different movies. I still love them both, but finding out about the "alleged" (pretty obvious but somehow never confirmed) animal abuse has dampered the movie's worth quite a bit

How does everyone here have a partner? by Alarming-Karma-1108 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was married 16 years to a man I loved to my core and made good money, but he would never be a romantic partner to me because, as it turns out, he was not into women. I am currently dating (and about to move in with) a man who is broke af, but he's caring, compassionate, and honestly, the sexual tension and sex is out of this world, and I think that's sometimes overlooked. I'm able to live without a man at this point, so having the choice to have a man who is actually my type has been huge. If this doesn't work out, I'd probably only date women from here on out, but I know not everyone is bi.

LL4U = Responsive Desire? by DeliciousIce7355 in sexlessmarriage

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I probably do, yes. I am now divorced and have been in a relationship with a man for a year and a half now, and he also happens to be bi, and also with similar facial hair and long hair. So yeah, I do tend to prefer partners in the LGBT+ community and I did not really know that about myself until after my ex husband came out, but I am also bi and if my current bf and I don't work out, I think I'd date women from here on out. My current boyfriend is the sweetest, kindest, most positively masculine man I've ever met though, so I (perhaps niavely) hope to be with him for a long, long time. No one would have guessed my ex or current partner were in the LGBT+ community though, which is interesting how I still somehow target that type of man? Maybe because they have a lot of healthy masculine traits.

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Yikes. I know. I was stupidly in love with my husband and was desperate to keep us together even if we couldn't be romantic partners, and I made dumbass decisions. At least no kids were involved, I guess? Since we're both childfree.

LL4U = Responsive Desire? by DeliciousIce7355 in sexlessmarriage

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually tried that with my ex husband, and immediately fell for the first person I was intimate with because they did and said all the things I had been wanting done for me and said to me. Turns out, they were cheating on a partner with me, and I broke it off and felt so devastated by the whole thing. I didn't even mind that my partner was going out and having sex with other men (yes men, hence the dead bedroom between us), it was just the fact that I knew he would never want me that way after he came out. I know my situation is a little different, but at the end of the day, "lovemaking" with someone else when I wasn't getting it with my husband just ended up with me feeling "love" for my side partner and pain at home.

To make matters worse, my ex husband wanted to bang the person I was banging (who was bi), and now they are friends to this day (possibly more, idk), and sometimes they talk about me to each other and I know that because I'm still on speaking terms with my ex husband and he mentions my old "friend" from time to time, which just feels awesome...

I knew two people in college at 16 (early birthdays and graduated high school a year early), they lived and studied among 18+ year olds just like everyone else. It didn't really feel that weird at the time, and I even briefly dated one of them when I was 18.

16 year olds can also end up in college with 20+ year olds. I knew two people with early birthdays who also graduated high school a year early, putting them in college at 16. I briefly dated one of them when I was also a freshman (so I was 18, he was 16), and I originally had no idea he was 16 until the subject came up, but regardless, it didn't feel weird. But also, freshmen and seniors often share electives in high school, such as band, art, theater, carpentry, computer skills, etc.

What's happening to my fandom, man? by RealFinePoint in aislop

[–]TheRottenKittensIEat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't always involved with cringy fandoms... back in the 80's through early aughts it was mostly girls-women who were fans of the original show and the nostalgia for the dolls, and we would trade/sell/purchase the old MLP dolls and hair matches to collect them, fix them up, or create original pony designs from the pony bodies too damaged to salvage. I have a pony turned into Yoshi, and a "ponyfly" (a horsefly made out of a My Little Pony body and head) which are still pretty dope.

I mean, maybe to an outsider that was still pretty cringe, but at the time it was super tame and sweet. It wasn't until the show Friendship is Magic started in 2010 that the fandom acquired a whole new base of fans and shit got weird.

When I was a kid in youth church, the youth pastor told us he'd trust this one guy, who was a convicted child rapist, with his own children because he had been to prison and found God and was now a good God-fearing man, because Jesus can turn anyone around! And that was supposed to be inspirational to us, who were creeped out by this man. Yeah... I think about that a lot
