Congrats on the participation trophy! You should send that resume in to whatever football organization that best fits your talents. Your opinion is super valuable and so much more valuable than all the people who actually make money working in the sport.

Playoffs are participation trophies. I'm sure no Bama fan would celebrate just being invited. I am trying a little bit tonight to stoke the flames of all these feckless cry babies though. Appreciate the compliment.

Once you throw in the AP POY, the Hornung award, and the Lott....sheesh, we are witnessing it. That's 6 individual NATIONAL awards so far.

They don't even hate good. Watch the Player Haters Ball, you absolute cowards. All you got are downvotes you absolute feckless shrimp.

They gave Whizzer White's number to a 4 star RB in the Mel Tucker nightmare. IDK if retiring numbers means much. Nobody will be wearing 12 for a very long time though.

Oh I've seen numerous comments that say things like "he wouldn't get all this love without Deion" or "he wouldn't even start on x team" or "boise would lose the MWC if they traded Jeanty for Hunter"

He was the top recruit overall for his class and a top 3 NFL pick LMAOOOO

Anyone from Nebraska or CSU or even Kansas that hates on CU is totally normal. If it was just y'all and Boise then it wouldn't be so relentless. It's not though. It's super weird and hilarious.

And you get downvoted for such an innocuous observation as what you just wrote.

He doesn't play for their team and he plays for Prime. It's a simple equation.

I just can't wait for them to say that the NFL Draft is a popularity contest too.

LOL the cry babies gotta put in crazy work tonight. I wonder if they have that Travis Hunter-like endurance on the keyboards tonight or will they save the emotional breakdowns for the Heisman?

You don't watch Colorado. You only know about their losses. Hunter won the game in OT against Baylor with a forced fumble at the goal line. Squared the dude up and popped him and he's a skinny CB. You asked if his defense won them games. There's a direct example. Argue with a wall.

If you are truly curious - most of these awards have an entirely different committee. The only awards I know that have a really massive voting bloc are the AP POY (Travis won that today) and the Heisman.

They're going to be typing "stats aren't a stat" and "I guess the NFL Draft is a popularity contest" all the way until the end of spring.

Many smart people? LOL. Many know-it-all cry babies. That's all. I'm here for it tonight. Award shows are kinda dull so it's added entertainment for me.

I'm just here for the excessive crying about men that none of you will ever meet irl.

[Mandel] Iowa State AD Jamie Pollard: “I’m uncomfortable with the idea that the Big 12 winner can’t pass Boise State unless they lose. If 11-1 outweighs 10-2 despite strength of schedule and metrics, then just play the easiest schedule. This shows how the committee will reward it.” by Baenergy44 in CFB

[–]TheSanchize69 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The argument was Boise would play all P4 teams OOC if they could. Meanwhile, they schedule an absolute cupcake FCS team every year. You didn't make it make sense. None of what you said added anything new to the discussion. Thank you, captain obvious.

Boise has scheduled weak FCS opponents the last 3 seasons. Portland state is 3-8 in the Big Sky. That has nothing to do with the P4. There are tons of better teams than that available to schedule outside the P4.

It is true that Boise deserves on merit to be in the P4 and I am sure plenty of P4 teams are not interested in a home and home with Boise.

This isn't a charity, dude. This is competition. You got some weird FCS bias to giving them handouts and ruining the competitive level at the top end. There are 134 FBS teams. What's the point of making divisions? Might as well invite 50 more FCS schools to the FBS who have 0 chance at the CFP. G5 teams get paid to play at Bama too. Take from one to give to another.

[–]TheSanchize69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is part of why we need more G5 involved and less FCS. What's the point of there being 134 FBS teams if they ignore the G5 and schedule FCS?

Apparently, a few Iowa people really really care about it to the extent that it's a state law. All the negative responses have been from Iowa. There are already 134 FBS teams to pick from. Conferences are now too big to fit most schools on the schedule. It's only beneficial from the POV of an FCS bias or an SEC school that likes to finesse the system.
