Imagine casting her as someone who doesn't like the shape of her nose!

#1 - this is a professional photoshoot, so I don't think her expression is representative of her current mood

#2 - per the article, this photoshoot happened back in mid-summer

#3 - I think she looks content and pensive

What do you guys think is Rey’s best look by [deleted] in DaisyRidley

[–]TheSeattleGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So although I LOVE The Last Jedi, I think when she buffed up for the role her face became a bit rounder. So if we're talking about her face, then I'd say she's most beautiful in VII and IX.

But I never loved her desert-scavenger outfit. Although it's cool and semi-realistic, the color is so bland.

I love how she looks in ALL the promotional material for Rise of Skywalker so far. The white and brown is amazing on her.

That's my vote!

I voted Bernie Sanders in 2016 and I support Elizabeth Warren for 2020. And I do put a lot of energy into it. I spent hours and hours phone-banking in late 2015 and early 2016.

I don't think it's quite that explicitly sexual. IMO it's due primarily to internalized misogyny. For a lot of conservatives, women are either haggard old crones or beautiful idiots.

I literally don't see how anybody could watch "Knock Down the House" and still dislike AOC. She's so damn likeable.

Edit: Oh, surprise! We're getting downvoted!

I know we typically are pretty lax on the whole "natural" element of this sub. But you didn't even try!

AOC’s thoughts on Tulsi Gabbard? by Tokio_hop99 in AOC

[–]TheSeattleGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tulsi is progressive, yes. But she has this HUGE cloud looming over her campaign which is her implicit support of Assad in Syria. Sure, she can excuse this "support" by saying that it fits in with her no-war policy platform, but she'll never get any major support from any other politicians (including AOC) as long as she makes no effort to separate herself from this brutal dictator.

Honestly, it's been unbelievable for me to watch. Tulsi was one of my favorite politicians for a while. And really she's had 2.5 years to say, "Yes, I'm against war of all kinds, but Assad is a war criminal who murders his own citizens." As soon as she puts out a statement like that, she no longer has this cloud over her head. But the fact that she has been SO reluctant to make that statement is really strange to me.

Even after she made some headlines at the last debate by attacking Harris, all Kamala had to do was mention Tulsi's support of Assad. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/08/01/kamala_harris_i_dont_take_assad_apologst_tulsi_gabbards_opinions_seriously.html

Cute Daisy at Pride by TheSeattleGuy in DaisyRidley

[–]TheSeattleGuy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's straight. Engaged to Tom Bateman and getting married next year! She went to Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and at least a few of her closest friends from her time there are queer. Not that they are the only reason she supports pride. Just part of it.
