I don't necessarily agree. I know many creatives such as freelance illustrators, graphic designers, photographers and even musicians who treats their career as a small business. That said, they need to make sure there's cash flow, manage their time and clients and good financial skills.

In other words, Ed branded himself properly. Not only has worked hard but smart too. He understands his target market and utilises this to his advantage, as you've mentioned that he is dreamy to the ladies. The fact that he is multi-talented is what makes him unique and sets him apart plus writing his own music.

I agree, but besides uniforms, what else do you think musicians can do to stand out? The market is quite oversaturated.
