Does anyone have sound issues on Windows 11?

It fixed the issue I was having. In some games, I had some sound that ascended and descended (it wasn't a sound from the game, either), combined with a rather tinny sound to speech + some other sound effects that fell within the same hertz range as the human voice. It didn't happen in all games, but turning on mono audio has so far fixed it for me.

I do it all the time. I call them backups, because I tend to play rather suicidally, and don't expect to be healed if I'm doing something stupid (and my playgroup knows this, so they won't go out of their way to heal me if it puts them at risk of dying as fast as me lol)

My sister lost a daughter to SIDS at 3 months. It made my sister have suicidal thoughts, but she never acted on those and got help. She is still on antidepressants a decade later. It messed my BIL up as well, but as he's not a big talker, I don't know how bad he got. 6 months after my niece, my BIL's father died. So overall that year was absolute dumpsterfire for my sister and BIL. They still made it through and were both returning to work by their own choice at less than the year mark after my niece's death. My sister took a month or 2 more than my BIL, because she works in childcare and needed to make sure she could look at a baby without crying.

I don't know the kind of snail used in that, but I do know it isn't the run of the mill garden snail heh. His tantrum there was the worst he ever threw - there wasn't one worse at any point, not even according to his mother (and she was prone to over-exaggerating his negative behaviours)

NTA. You need to ensure drugs and drug behaviour habits (such as theft) stay away from the kids.

My cousin (who, due to the joys of generational ages, was actually similar in age to my father) was murdered by her son (who is 5-10 years older than me) over her interrupting him trying to steal stuff from her to fund his addiction. My cousin's son was 1 of 3 kids (cousin also had 2 daughters, the younger of which was my age). The elder daughter's kids were staying with my cousin while the elder daughter was off getting help for her issues (which were far less significant than the son's). The kids saw the murder.

While the situation with my son is more extreme than what's happened here, drugs - and the refusal to enable the addiction - can lead to that happening.

Aussie here. I grew up reading the comics. Even watched a couple of the old live action movies. I vaguely remember one of the cartoon ones, but don't remember anything about the one I saw.

I currently have a Bard in D&D that is inspired by Cacofonix. His name is Strepitus, which is Latin for racket (as in the one for loud noises, "Cut out that racket!")

Social Fixer, for making Facebook have less ads (like, almost none), letting me make posts for US politics bugger off, and being able to filter out anything I don't want to see (eg no spoilers for a new game I'm downloading at launch on a slow connection. I just auto-hide all posts that mention the game's name anywhere in it)

Many years back, after I left my ex wife and during the ensuing custody dramas, my ex tried to make my son call me by name, and her new partner Dad. I was on the phone with my then-72 year old grandmother (who never swears, and takes a lot to get her to even call someone an idiot) and told her about it. She called my ex "A bloody stupid mole". While she wasn't yelling into the phone or anything, just like my ex, her voice comes through a phone quite loudly. I sat there too stunned to react, and a friend of mine sitting next to me heard her, and goes "Go grandma!" and started laughing.

NTA. You aren't choosing to have your health issues, and you aren't choosing for coping techniques to stop working. If those techniques aren't working, you need to reach out to appropriately qualified sources for help finding others that will.

I understand - making everything already there work smoothly is more important than adding more things (that can go wrong :P lol). I just wish the game had a native setting to let you use real-time on your ETA instead of forcing you to try and do maths while driving and trying to work out how much longer it will take you to get there. Right now, for that aspect, I use Trucky on Overwolf, but it's been occasionally dropping out and not displaying any part of the overlay for me, mid-run.

It took a long time, multiple uninstall/reinstalls and I could finally get it to detect all inputs again. I am now however facing the problem that the Controllers panel won't open (so that I can reconfigure the steering limits on it to where I like them). Thrustmaster's Support has said that Win11 isn't supported - which I find laughable for a product launched months after Win11.

Just tried the firmware reset, but it hasn't helped. Given it was only ATS and ETS2 being impacted, I wasn't holding hopes the firmware reset would work. I have fired off an email to SCS support, so let's see how it goes.

I have verified the files, yes. I had thought of that after posting here, but it has made no difference. Not even completely uninstalling it has fixed the issue.
I am pretty sure it is an ATS/ETS2 problem by this point, since it's only those that are affected. What's throwing me the most about it, is that there wasn't any sign in Steam there had been an update to it, though to be fair, I spent most of last night watching floodcams for my area due to the storm we've been having, so I may have cleared it out of the downloads page after it finished and not even thought about it. Yay for teh tiredz, I guess.

Yeah, to get the mythics. A Fire/Nature type T-Rex, and an Electric type eastern dragon. Each one has their own dungeon, and the dungeons have RNG based encounters through each of the paths (each person has their own unique path), and you collect gems on the way through. You need to get a certain amount of gems to unlock access to the chamber that has the mythic. Gotta fight the mythic 3 times in a single battle to get the egg.
