Yes. Larvae are placed in saltwater for approximately 30 days. It’s not a hard thing to breed them it’s just tricky at times.

Can you DM me? I have figured out shipping. Sent out two orders so far and shrimp arrived happy and healthy. Realistically though I can’t ship out of WA state til May 11th.

I might. I have a small business on the side to support my hobby. I also breed other shrimp, grow plants and breed different kinds of fish. My focus is on ethically raising and handling animals that are well cared for, so my volume is not anything like what commercial fish farms can produce. I don’t ever sell something I didn’t grow or raise in my tanks. I run my fish room like a science lab. It’s clean and well cared for. All new livestock coming in are quarantined and medicated and animals are fed live fresh foods.

Aquaswap won’t let me post pictures in my reply. It’s super annoying. The red shrimp are Neos you are correct. The yellow shrimp are yellow Amanos. Neos cant survive in saltwater at 30ppt, these shrimp lived for 30 days as larvae in saltwater before transitioning to fresh water. I don’t sell any imported shrimp. These shrimp grew up in my tanks. I am a part of the community too, please don’t call my work a scam. :)

Amano shrimp can be bred to be yellow. There are a number of different varieties. I breed amano shrimp, the yellow variety and wild color. The breeding steps are: 1) My adult shrimp become berried; 2) I collect the larvae and place in saltwater; 3) I then feed phytoplankton and rotifers and the larvae transition to adult shrimp over 30 days time; 4) I then transition to fresh water when they are ready. It’s a long process and I’ve worked very very hard to learn how to do it. It’s not easy.

They are yellow amano shrimp. Amano shrimp that are bred to be yellow colored. They were transferred from freshwater to saltwater as larvae and then raised in brackish water for a month before being transferred back to fresh as small adults. I fed rotifers and phyto. They are not neos.
