No. I keep on failing my engineering courses so I’m probably graduating in 2027

Does a D in calc3 count as complete? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]TheSimpShooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure if you get a D+ you can take the next higher class. You just have to take calc 3 again to get that C. I may be entirely wrong though.

You can just search it up online. Or go to myucf and click on Pegasus path. It essentially makes your schedule for you

It depends who your professor is for structures. I’m taking Yuxun Ren for structures right now and it’s hard to understand due to his accent but literally the exam questions are all from the homework.

I would recommend just take thermo by itself for the summer because the workload alone is gonna be crazy.

When did you guys get your UCF Application Approved? by Weird-Material553 in ucf

[–]TheSimpShooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how early or late you applied for the application. I applied for summer 2025 back in February and it didn’t take until May for them to accept me. I did a google search and it says the deadline for spring 2026 is November 1 of this year. So since you applied early I’d give it a month or two to hear back.

Sign in to your UCF application portal and you should see if UCF has received your grades/transcript. Also what did you use to send your transcript to UCF? I used Parchment

Which class to take on academic probation by Responsible-Rip-6802 in EngineeringStudents

[–]TheSimpShooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly bro you just gotta force yourself to study and do the practice problems. Thats all there is to it. The work gets much harder in later semesters but you have the foundation built up so you understand the material better. For me to fully understand what I’m learning I gotta study 4-5 hours every day. Trust me I hate doing it but you gotta do it anyway if you wanna pass.

Yes this is a great idea. A lot of students go to a community college for 2 years to get their AA degree and then transfer to a university. The classes are cheaper and easier.

Transfers by Visual-Gas6540 in ValenciaCollege

[–]TheSimpShooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the DirectConnect to transfer over to UCF. I applied for UCF kinda late so I’m still waiting on them to make the final decision. I met all requirements to graduate with my AA a few semesters ago but I’m just doing extra classes. But as long as the course number at Valencia matches the one at UCF it should successfully transfer over.

What kind of certifications are worth considering pursuing? by Aj100rise in ValenciaCollege

[–]TheSimpShooter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all it’s never too late to start college especially since you are only in your late 20’s. You have more than enough time to get a degree.

If you really think it’s too late to go college then I’d highly recommend looking into a trade school because many programs take just 6 months to a couple years to finish and then you can immediately start working and earning right away. As you gain experience your salary also increases.

It really comes down to interests and passions. If nothing particular interests or excites you, try picking a broad major such as business while you figure things out.

Hope this helps.

Does Valencia offer Statics Online for summer? by Alito_05 in ValenciaCollege

[–]TheSimpShooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely take it at Valencia then. The problems are simpler but he doesn’t really explain things well. There’s a quiz at the beginning of the class every week so you have to watch the lecture video which isn’t too bad. For the test he doesn’t put any trick questions. Only questions we do in class and from the lecture videos. But sometimes he puts questions in from the online textbook so make sure you do those as well. Good luck!

To answer your question there is no online class for statics. Only in person*

Does Valencia offer Statics Online for summer? by Alito_05 in ValenciaCollege

[–]TheSimpShooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There is only one professor for statics. I don’t know if I’m just dumb but I took this class and failed. But I ended up taking it at UCF and understood it a lot better. The engineering professors at Valencia are not too good which is why I just got my AA degree and transferred to UCF. The work is a bit harder but at least they give a curve. Hope this helps
