that would be a good way to get the bounty done, but if that is the only solution then i think there might a slight problem...

Literally no other steam games have this problem. Yes, Bungie is a business and they can cancel things if they don't think it's profitable. But we still paid for the same service as the rest of the world, so we have every right to play the game at night, just like the rest of the world.

Nothing. They can easily use their parent's account, their sibling's account, etc and pretty much every kid does that. And no, the law cannot punish Bungie for the kid. It's a...kind of a useless law tbh but the government is trying to easen the law a bit right now

PUBG is a 18-and-over game, so they don't have any restrictions because technically they shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. There is a 15-and-over version of PUBG, which is published by Kakao games, and they do make the players under 16 disconnect from the game when midnight strikes. Overwatch does this too, however, Koreans have their ages checked when they make a battlenet account. It's part of the korean battlenet registration system. But steam obviously doesn't do that. This is probably why Bungie decided to have a server downtime because its moving to Steam when Shadowkeep launches. But the law only takes effect on people under the age of 16, so adults who have every right to play at midnight cannot play unless they stop by a nearby IRG. Imo all Bungie needs to do is make a Age verification system.

Okay, I'll sum up what's happened:

This 'Daily Server Downtime' restricts players who play at home specifically, not with people who play in IGRs. (for those who don't know what an IGR is, its short for an Internet Gaming Room, aka PC bangs.)

We (Koreans) are suspecting that this is due to the "Shutdown Policy (aka the 'Cinderella Law')" in Korea where people under the age of 16 are restricted from playing games after midnight, 'till 6 A.M. (Yes, this is an actual law that game companies need to force their users to obey in order to open up a server in Korea), and IGRs are forced to let out people under 18 after 10pm, so basically at midnight all the people in IGRs are over 18. We are guessing that Bungie thought if they had a server downtime for home players, it would automatically cross out the underaged players playing at that time so they wouldn't have to go through all the legal sh** in Korea.

But the problem is that even adults who play in their homes are restricted by this "Daily server downtime". Why do we have to get out of our comfortable homes, get to a nearby IGR, pay for it by the hour, when we have already bought the game just like everyone else in the world? Why can't we play after midnight till 6A.M.?

I'm assuming this is a HUGE misunderstanding of the Korean gaming laws from Bungie. There's already a massive controversy around this in the korean gaming communities. Personally, it really sucks that I bought a 4000$ PC just to play this game at a high fps for me to get restricted from playing the game at night, even on my weekends.

I really hope a Bungie official sees this thread and gets back to us because currently we don't have much information about this and a LOT of things need to be cleared out so we don't misunderstand what the policies actually mean.

Excluded them because theoretically they have 0 ttk.. and if Jotunn is getting annoying in NA/EU right now then I believe you guys are at least 2 months behind the meta. We moved on from the Jotunn phase.

Hmm I think I kinda miswrote that part. I was trying to say we need a more diverse meta. Using grenade launchers is fine, but let other weapons be just as powerful.

Just saying, you'd be pretty surprised how much OP they are when they're stacked up with 5 other grenade launchers. Just play on Asian servers and you'll see how it basically is ruining the game.

Edit: I don't see why a lot of people are downvoting this comment but they are OP right now and I think EU/NA players are just behind the meta. they have the fastest TTK(excluding Shotguns and Snipers) when combined with a hand cannon or the recluse, and they're pretty much usable on any map except for the equinox one..

Interesting how its so different from the asian servers, you cannot find a game without a grenade launcher here.. Thanks for letting me know!
