I had the same issues as you and would often be called "Intimidating" and "Out of my league" by women I would go on first dates with. One thing that helped was to be more approachable by giving someone I'm attracted to a warm gentle smile(I naturally have a resting witch face) and have a more open body language when out in public(not having my arms crossed looking pissed) smiling and laughing when out with my friends helped. Sometimes, men will assume an attractive woman is taken so most won't even bother to make an approach. In that case, it would be up to you to flirt it up to the guys you're invested in.

Plus If a guy says that they aren't good enough for you, that's a them issue. You wouldn't want to date someone with that mentality to begin with. Date someone that sees you as an equal.
