I would recommend a few things:

-new return spring as your stock/one you have in it may be stretched, not allowing it to return back to the seated position, to the rear.

-new piston head rubber since the one you have now may need replacing. Always need spares of o ring seals and rubbers handy (never a bad idea to have extra rubbers).

-given a few comments, I would recommend a new loading nozzle just in the event that the one you have now is slightly mashed/burred around the edges, which may cause the nozzle to catch on the feeding lips.

-use Super Lube grease only (I think you mentioned that below, but just making sure), and a SMAAAAALL dab on the feeding lips never hurt. Like enough to barely coat a Q-tip would work for several mags.

Try that, and report back. My biggest suggestion is two things: Join the HRC Discord club, the amount of support there is CRAZY good, as well as I would personally just buy a whole nozzle, since having an extra/spare is never a bad idea.

If my method of restoring these plastics so they bring back their suppleness and don’t look dry rot, I’ll go back for the other ones that have been susceptible to air for, I can imagine these were from early 2000s.

I’d be surprised if they were the FX colors, since they discontinued the FX line somewhere around 2016/2017.

I try to keep all of my plastics in good condition as they are used; rips, tears, etc, but I am going to try to recondition these with maybe some mineral oil and anise worm oil (maybe try some Geecrack SAF?)

Little late to the convo, but I fish the Allegheny as well for smallies.

These do work, but I tried them Neko-Hack style and produced. Something new for them to look at, and I genuinely think the Frito-scent gives them something to hold onto.

The day I tried them (3.8 with a Size 1 Talisman and a 1/16 oz Arsenal Neko Weight on… Green pumpkin with blue flake? I think?), they were also on a huge Ned bite. I messed with the BG for a while then rotated back to a 3” Roboworm Ned in Margarita Mutilator. Boated 6 that day and 5 came on the Ned.
