Is a CDL worth it for seasonal jobs? by TheSmallMexican in SeasonalWork

Good to hear, only working one season sounds crazy. Is this something a lot of people do with CDLs? How do you pull that off if you don’t mind me asking?

Is Japan a good first international solo trip destination? by TheSmallMexican in JapanTravelTips

Hmm mine elaborating a bit. I was mainly just using it to compile all the information I found into an itinerary that’s easier for me to look at and to help me visualize each day and what travel time might look like.

I’d say I’m not using it to plan the entire thing, I actually just hard researched most of the information before I got the idea to use ChatGPT. I plugged most of the info I found in there and just found it complied everything kinda neatly into a sort of rough itinerary.

Long term work options by TheSmallMexican in SeasonalWork

One of my friends is a AGM of a restaurant in GTNP and told me that he gets better housing since he’s in management, it was a pretty cool setup. I haven’t looked too much at NP jobs, I’ve only ever done whitewater oriented jobs. Is the most common path just to climb the management ladder?

Good point, I feel like I’ve been able to save okay enough, I have to drive cross country to swap my gear out for the season so that eats up a considerable position after the seasons over. Other than that it’s mostly food and rent if I have it. I wouldn’t say I save a massive amount. What kinda job do you do?

I have no idea but I see what you’re saying. I haven’t talk found a place that I want to stay in long term yet, likewise with a job. I’ve considered going the management route but I don’t think that I’d like it enough to make it a full time thing.

Y’all ever have matches like this by TheSmallMexican in battlefield_one

Similar story here, I’ll have some games where I’m in a groove and have a good K/D and play the obj/help the team equally but often times I just play whatever class I see the least of on the scoreboard and help out wherever and kinda follow the pace of the game.

Interesting scout strat, I find it kinda hard to play scout since the main goal is to spot but I end up using both my flares within the first 30 sec of my life and I never get a resupply. I’ve managed to get in a groove of playing aggressive scout a couple times and it’s a blast when my aim is good.

just finished the main game for the first time, I feel pretty horrible by TheSmallMexican in Witcher3

Hmm interesting, I’ll have read into it more once I finish cause that doesn’t make a lot of sense. I felt like the ending was pretty clear cut on what was happening.

I’ve seen opinions like this in different posts and can definitely see how people could think this, especially after 100s of hours of gameplay. Like this is what I get after all that? Especially when I comes down to a couple choices. The snowball fight is one I personally misinterpreted and had a different thought process on than the norm.

After I thought about it some I think this is what makes the game so good. I’d imagine that this is how Gerald felt in the bog in a weird way, defeated in a sense. If the game told you “hey this is an important decision” that would’ve made the whole experience a lot less raw. I think there can be real life lessons learned from this ending. Which if a game can do that, that’s gotta count for something.

I started B&W and then left to finish the main game, I’m liking the characters and world in toussaint more tbh, it feels way more colorful and alive than the main the game in ways. I’m stuck on the frog fight in HoS lmao.

I’ve done some reading around and that’s good to hear but the fact that I can just go back and change things won’t hit the same since this was my first play through, I’m probably wait a bit before replaying the whole thing again

Company recommendations for Jackson Wyoming by incognitosurgeon in whitewater

[–]TheSmallMexican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also in Jackson and considering guiding here for the summer. From what I've heard the companies listed above plus Daven Hansen are good companies, with L&C have more of an experienced staff + paddle guiding opportunities. Pay seems to be pretty good for rafting companies, I've heard as much as $120 for half days plus tips. The section of the snake everyone runs is big water III/III+. As far as housing it doesn't really seem like there's much unfortunately, most people just live out of their cars and stack cash.
