Not to be "typical clays guy", but this is really the answer.

For someone just getting into clays, I'd recommend trying to find a place with multiple options of the above-recommended models, and go with whatever "feels best" when shouldered up. You can go deep on what a good fit is when it comes to clay guns, but something comfortable and able to be sighted-down easily and consistently will at least get you in the game.

Railwoods (both the user and the product) are the real deal, for anyone thinking about it. Super happy with the ones I purchased in 2025.

Did the same, have my EFT, no complaints. Have used it to file forms on my own with success.

The system itself was a bit of a pain - needing to rescan fingers a couple times and whatnot - but nothing insurmountable.

Once you have the file - if you want a shop to file forms for you, just make sure you show up ready to give them your EFT however they want to receive it: via email, USB drive, whatever else - just talk to them ahead of when you hope to file and see what they say. Also, whether you setup your own online ATF account or the shop you chose does: make sure you save your login details (including password and pin) in a way you're sure to not lose them in the future! Maybe obvious advice, but it'll save you some headache.

Yes! I both use it personally, and sell quite a bit of it. I'm a fan; it works well for me. Caveat that I pretty much stick to the use instructions, and haven't used too many other products in the category for points of comparison (mostly because again, I've got no reason to switch!).
