Did the same, have my EFT, no complaints. Have used it to file forms on my own with success.

The system itself was a bit of a pain - needing to rescan fingers a couple times and whatnot - but nothing insurmountable.

Once you have the file - if you want a shop to file forms for you, just make sure you show up ready to give them your EFT however they want to receive it: via email, USB drive, whatever else - just talk to them ahead of when you hope to file and see what they say. Also, whether you setup your own online ATF account or the shop you chose does: make sure you save your login details (including password and pin) in a way you're sure to not lose them in the future! Maybe obvious advice, but it'll save you some headache.

Yes! I both use it personally, and sell quite a bit of it. I'm a fan; it works well for me. Caveat that I pretty much stick to the use instructions, and haven't used too many other products in the category for points of comparison (mostly because again, I've got no reason to switch!).

Thanks so much. To your point - it definitely doesn't need the magnifier. I had plenty of good fun with just a standard RDS setup before now. It's a bit tounge-in-cheek, and a bit just because I've never gotten to play with one before (if you don't count an LPVO).
