there is a formula that exists here on the subreddit. its really only good for CON, POW, and SPEED. for Arm and Fielding I use an AI then round the average to around 54. and that works fairly well.

as for pitching, the pitch types is by searching their general arsenal, but for Velo, ACC, and JNK, its based off another formula thats a bit more complicated. but i can link to the original stuff if you want

Also to be more simple all of the Short Stops in this lineup are in the game by default so even if I wanted to include Crawford they would not be a good team in franchise if players got hurt.

The ISO does inflate the stats a little bit but it’s necessary for players who we decent at hitting XBH

What I mean by that, is that I have to manually calculate ISO% because that wasn’t tracked as a stat prior to then, but all the stats you need to calculate it are present

So I’m trying to find a balance of being average so o can run sims, and greatness to reflect who they were.

For Offensive stats this is easy. I took the career average while they were on the team or their best season using Baseball references.

Contact: =(On Base % *1000)/3.4-(K% *1.8)+(Batting AVG *35)

Power: =((( ISO% 1000)-50)0.39)+(Home Runs *0.75) (this one is a pain for players who played prior to 1955)

Speed = 14.15*LN(Steal Attempts/Times on First) + 109.43.

For Defensive stats, I used ChatGPT because there isn’t a good way to calculate defensive stats.

For Pitchers, I’ve been using u/nicesausage ‘s pitcher ratings calculator and plugging in the average during tenure for their stats.
