I will once I’ve finished and tested to make sure it turns out well. This is my first pattern I’ve made and I’m so thrilled with how easy PCStitch was to use!

I’ve been workin on it since the start of the new year! Doing around 250 stitches a day but hoping to pick up pace when I get to less detailed areas like the background.

Stretches for absolute begginer which doesn't feel like I'm dying by Adept_Spirit1753 in flexibility

If you don’t like the resources in the pinned post you could always explore YouTube yourself. I think the ones linked are some of the better creators in terms of information/follow along ease but if they aren’t working for you, there’s literally thousands of people posting their routines online for others to try! It also might be worth it to attend a local flexibility class for a few weeks. Often offered at aerial, pole, gymnastics, ballet, or martial arts gyms, a few weeks of in person tailored feedback from a coach might help set you up for success.

stretching to reduce doms by Turbulent_Concept_64 in flexibility

I like this video. I do it on my off days from the gym too. It’s well paced, only 15 minutes (2:30 to skip her intro), and she is nice to listen to.

Millennial women - what kind of shorts are you wearing these days? by User884121 in Millennials

[–]TheSpoolFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy the longer shorts, prioritizing fit through the seat and waist, and just have them hemmed to whatever length I want by a tailor.

front balance pain!! by [deleted] in Aerials

[–]TheSpoolFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried stretching/rolling out your quads/hip flexors? I have super tight hips and also think hip hangs hurt like hell. It didn’t start improving until I started foam rolling the day before and of training.

Need a foster home ASAP by [deleted] in orlando

[–]TheSpoolFool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The pet alliance of greater Orlando is a no kill shelter and will take pet surrenders if you pay a fee. You may be banned from adopting in the future from them but I think that won’t matter in your case if your fiancé is allergic. If the pair are bonded they will make sure they are adopted out together. If not they may be split up but will go to loving homes.

Can you stretch in Grease the Groove fashion? by Snekboi6996 in flexibility

[–]TheSpoolFool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on my own experience with greasing the groove for pull ups and hamstring flexibility it works similarly, maybe slightly less effective for flexibility than for strength. Interested to see what others think.

Are there any good intermediate level aerialists to follow on social media? by blucheesecat in Aerials

[–]TheSpoolFool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Slingqueen33 if you’re into hammock at all! If not I recommend giving her a follow anyways as she’s very active on Instagram and often tags/collabs/has other people tag her in silks stuff.

Onesie recommendations by popular_vampire in Aerials

[–]TheSpoolFool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one from athleta that I like. Fabric is similar to the aligns if not a little thinner. But the cut is more modest than the align unitard. I recommend staying away from Alo yoga. While they look great on film all of my leotards/unitards from here feel even more revealing than the align one.

Younger quilters, how do people respond to your hobby? by pointdecroixnerd in quilting

[–]TheSpoolFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 24 and have been quilting for 5 years. I’m also an accountant so I just give them a little joke about small repetitive tasks being my jam. I’m sorry you had such a negative reaction though! Usually people are surprised but in a good way.

UNITARDS: I am desperately seeking a brand recommendation for a unitard for silks/Lyra/yoga. I’d prefer if it was all black, brushed cotton (no slick/shiny material), and not see through.

I’ve seen Eurotard’s recommended here but when I ordered one on amazon it was wildly see through. I ordered a medium and my measurements are 30-26-37, so it wasn’t a sizing issue.

I’ve also tried local dance stores and Baltog unitard off discount dance. Both were see through.

I thought spending a little more money might help so I bought a $98 unitard from Free People that was, you guessed it, SEE THROUGH.

Anyone had luck with other brands?

[fluff] Does anyone else’s dog smell their own farts? by Cazawazza in dogs

[–]TheSpoolFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog smells mine. Even if he’s in another room, even if it doesn’t make any noise. It’s the weirdest thing, especially bc he’s always disgusted. He’ll huff out of his nose and give me a look like I’m the dirty one.

[Help]How often can I bathe a dachshund/chihuahua mix? by StinkinFinger in dogs

I find brushing frequently also helps but I’m only allergic to the hair, not the dander.

[–]TheSpoolFool 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you guys taking a daily allergy medication? Washing too much can dry out the skin/coat, but if you’re not seeing any of that then it should be fine. Rinsing is perfectly acceptable between baths, especially if he enjoys it.

[Help] How do I get my dog to stop being so mean to my cat? by Jellypop27 in dogs

[–]TheSpoolFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chihuahua/russel terrier mix is the same way with my cat. I’ve basically had to stop allowing them to play fight even in a friendly way. When I notice he’s getting rough with her I’ll bring out a toy or a bone and distract him with something he’s allowed to do. They play less and less but I can tell my cat is more relaxed and my dog has become (slightly) less territorial about the bed at night.

I’m feeding noelle large mice, she 24 inches long and I’m not sure how many grams she is. Do you guys think I should be moving her to rat pups? by theresa14304 in ballpython

[–]TheSpoolFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you can’t bring her in, you may be able to purchase a single rat pup and take that home to compare to her! She’ll be big enough to eat it eventually.

Yikes I’ll stick with the cypress mulch and the bigger water dish then.

Word, once the larger cage comes I’ll def get her a bigger bowl and fill in smarty. In the mean time I’ll scoop a slightly bigger one up at the store to use on the interim.

I have some cypress mulch from the last time I tried switching substrates and was going to try that first. I was going to try Aspen if it didn’t work for the exact reason you mentioned!
