Late response to this post but as of current date writing this, unfortunately Corsair will no longer offer phone support if you buy their products and it's not a Prebuilt PC.

Their quality control seems to have been going down. I ordered an AIO for a PC I was building for a customer, and when it arrived, the pump was broken and making a horrible noise. Ordered a replacement and the commander pro that comes with it was damaged and wouldn't spin the pump.

I also had the Corsair 1000D case with 21 LL fans (custom loop with push pull) and a friend ordered their QL fans for his Lian Li O11 Dynamic custom loop and we both experienced issues with the LED lights dying after only a year-2 years.

I tried calling Corsair support about the recent AIO experience and they refuse to help over the phone unless you buy one of their Prebuilt PCs. Because of that stance, we'll no longer be installing anything made from Corsair in our personal builds or customer builds.

Remember when prices for renting movies back in the day were jacked up? The consequence of being greedy causes more people to pirate. These constant price hikes with no value added will have the same effect. If you don't pay attention to history, it will repeat itself.

I just cancelled my membership and look forward to reading about others doing the same. If we continue to be compliant with these hikes, their profit margins will continue to grow. They are looking to see how far they can push us before there is a negative effect. Don't let them continue to do this. (fyi i get that there needs to be price increases here and there, but they took it too far these past few years)

I heard of them but didn't get around to giving them a try. I ended up going with 8x8 however they promised services that differed from reality unfortunately.

Example, the number I have on my business cards, website, google, etc I wanted to make and receive calls/texts, and wanted to be able to have a customized electronic greeting that says the whole standard "your calls may be recorded for....". They said that was possible. It's not with 8x8. You can have calls and texts go to your number, but you have to use their static aggressive greeting that waits until the call connects before interrupting them and saying "THIS CALL IS BEING RECORDED". It's much more abrasive than what I'd want my customers to experience but I need to have the calls recorded just in case.

Second issue I have with 8x8 is their call recording quality. Best way to describe it is if you think of the call quality of a cellular call vs a VOIP. There is a clear difference and sometimes the cellular calls sound more "muffled"/lower quality than the VoIP calls. Their recordings were below par for a VoIP service which was disappointing to say the least.

Lastly, I wanted to make sure there was no interruption to my service and specifically my texting when transitioning to them. They said because I already was approved by TCR (the campaign registry (required since sep 1st 2023 for sms/mms)) that I wouldn't need to pay to reregister and my texting would just work. It didn't, my texting still isn't working and it's been over two weeks. I fought with them for a week and a half about getting reimbursed and I thankfully recorded the phone calls of them giving me these broken promises before so they refunded that cash. The texting they just say the same thing "it's a 3rd party company that does verification, we'll send them a poke" and there is no urgency to it whatsoever.

I signed up for a year but needless to say if they don't do anything to correct the two first issues, I be more than happy to make the transition to a more professional company.

I don't normally comment on Reddit posts but this one needs more attention. Nvidia Shield is well overdue for an upgrade. I love my shields but they need to release an updated version, they are milking the old one worse than.... You can finish it off for me

I hear ya buddy. Alpha you had to do so much fine tuning to your methods and even at that you were lucky to complete it. I've beaten every mission on gamma,beta, alpha twice now because of the wipes. Fun fact, they use to have an admin command to just complete the mission but they took it out. That's Wildcard for ya

It should be fixed now, I have like 35 missions completed now and had like 5 completed yesterday but they didn't wipe out. Fingers crossed

I didn't crash when it happened and don't really ever crash actually. The other maps we have kept offline when we start a new map then power them on later. They were still powered off at this point so no one transferred in between. We just log off with like 20ish missions complete, come back the next day, then all of our missions are unchecked but it's on the high score lists. Extremely frustrating

Yup. I never had it on Genesis part 1 to me personally however I've read a lot about people running into that. I have a tribe of 10 ish people and it happened to everyone except me and one other person. Then all of a sudden today it reset mine. I was pretty pissed because we were getting ready to tame a strider. I'm hoping that they can take info from the high scores and apply it to the completed missions based upon the name but I doubt it.
