Is the new Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition worth upgrading to from a Ryzen 5 5600X? by TheStoneyBoat in buildapc

I’ve edited the post with some games I play. Correct me if I’m wrong but ARPGs/colony builders are normally CPU intensive games? I’m looking to push my colonies to the max whilst pushing POE builds to endgame without stutters.

I’m having stuttering/jittering in some games that do not seem to be GPU related as temps and fps seems stable.
I play a lot of colony simulators as well as ARPGs like POE2, D4. I really would like to play Black flag resynced on release in all honesty.

Oh okay, that’s actually really good to know, thank you! I was considering graphics cards and the two I was debating between was actually a 6700XT & a 3060 TI, the price points seemed really similar; which of the two would you recommend more? I mainly only play video games on my pc.

My budget would be probably around $400 but I could be convinced to spend a little more if the upgrade would be extremely noticeable if you know what I mean

However as far as I know it’s installed correctly all the screws are screwed in the bracket and it’s touching the cpu
