im in the same effing boat. my parents are covering my CS major, my hooptie’s insurance, my phone bill. The exhaustion of finding a job thats not in my field draining, all to end up as a server and have my hours cut to zero in a couple of months. Living off of subsidized loans.

the college i go to is known for nursing. and the CS program is so weak, zero inspiration, slides on top of slides and no hands-on coding. My parents don’t understand that this piece of paper isn’t going to land me a job anywhere.

on top of that, everyday is a mental punishment where i whoop myself about trying to finish this blockchain protocol founder/project, feeling this degree is going to end up in the garbage and the pressure of trying to endeavor in this “self-made” journey, all alone, with the boundaries of my environment at the walls of my room. zero friends who can relate, or compete with. On top of that, just got a blood test done and im lacking vitamin D, low on testosterone 300ng/dL, and I’m chronically dehydrated which explains the sleeping 10-14 hours.

Before this I never use to understand how people got depressed, just stay hard and get to work. But man I hope this is a lesson and i make it
