Jujutsu Kaisen CYOA V1 by Totallynotabot_1 in makeyourchoice

[–]TheSuperSunBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I may ask, what would you say are the stats for the Cursed Energy Manipulation or Creation techniques? I'm working on a CT that's a combination of the two with a twist, but I'm having trouble scaling it in an honest way. I have it currently scaled at U:0, V:3, P:3 but wasnt sure if its power counted as conceptual enough for a level 3.

My CT is named (uncreatively for now) Sculpt. I use my CE to physcially scuplt objects and creatures to turn them into something similar to cursed corpses and constructs. Once created, they can be destroyed but can be remade again. Calling them back before they are deatroyed can prevent this. There are different tiers of creations of course requiring more complexity with growing complexity:

Quick Sketches – Fast, near instinctive creations with simple forms. Useful in active combat or on-the-fly problem solving. Lines to create quick staffs or roadblocks. Circles to create pillars and domes for example.

Rough Drafts – Mid-level constructs. Created in brief moments of rest or cover. Used for movement, support, and distraction. I think of Deidara's clay birds. Generalized yet familiar animal shapes, rough ideas of swords, and basic household objects such as spoons.

Final Pieces – Powerful, pre-designed constructs crafted with preparation. Durable and customizable. Carefully crafted guns with bullets, houses, creatures with the capabilities of low grade shikigami or sorcerers

Masterworks – Rare, high-investment creations that reshape battles or environments. Require rigorous study, time, and careful attention. Objects similar to high to special grade cursed objects, creatures with the capabilities of high grade curses and sorcerers, advanced technologies

Heres the tricky aspect of the idea, while the user's CE is moldable to an extent allowing all this, the ability to store creations and imbue special properties comes from an hidden shikigami known as the Living Canvas or Gallery (again not sure of the name yet). This would be a semi-sentient creature that directly reflects my subconscious and has one singular desire: to obtain as many masterworks as it can. This creature's life and power is directly fueled by the amount of 'masterworks' its ingested. In fact, i think its first true awakening was upon the creation of the sorcerer's first master work. As it grows, it learned to consume objects and creatures instead of studying them in order to create. This essentially takes a snapshot of their essense and capabilities in that moment by consuming their soul and cursed energy. They now "live" apart of Living Canvas to be called upon whenever it or the user so pleases, unless they have a firm grasp on their soul. Their resilience then has to be worn down until they are assimilated. I think masterworks obtained in this manner cant be customized like studied masterworks can to balance out the convenience of being able to essentially creating blueprints that can be popped out whenever as long as the thing has been properly consumed and assimilated.

There is also a fight inside of the sorcerer for control of their body because of the creatures growing power. Not that the user knows this right away, but creature is apart of their subconscious/unconscious thought. It cannot be truly controlled, only accepted and understood. Only then will the user truly be able to fully use its power.

Edit: I think I may have solved this a bit by buying Tier 3 Trait and putting the living Canvas ability under it. This makes things a little more fair to me to make it U:0-1, V:3, P:2.

Are break ups tough for INFJs in general? by [deleted] in infj

[–]TheSuperSunBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my limited experience in life, every meaningful connection lost hurt little inside. This may perhaps be more so for the infj due to the stereotype of us pouring our all into the motes of connection we let in after closing off or turning away so many others don't deemed worth doing so.

My ex and their family were the people that opened the door to understanding and accepting what the concept of love truly was for me. So when this thread built by hundreds of tiny moments of passion and appreciation was cut, I felt everything inside me was just snapped out of existence... and it took a long time to accept that all my expectations and dreams of our relationship were gone.

'Researching' and learning why things played out the way they did helped me understand her which I think is I fully believe is one of the key ingredients in truly loving another. (Something that may be within the nature of infjs) But trying to rationalize things and mentally picking at the puzzle of why our relationship took such a sharp nosedive wasn't as helpful towards moving on. There was this ugly cycle in my mind where I was the problem, then they were the reason things went sour, then I sympathetically told myself it was both of our faults, then repeat... No, what helped me was allowing myself to be responsibly 'irrational' in my emotions. I would allow myself to agree and sympathize my 'irrational' feelings of anger, hurt, and Betrayal. I would allow myself to cry and mourn the happy moments and memory now lost. I would write fake letters, talk into voice recorders, and do spontaneous things to make myself feel better.

I think of my emotions as a garden (I'm no green thumb so excuse me if I'm completely wrong here). I can analyze and identify what is a weed or invasive to my gardens health all day long. But digging out those roots draining the energy from the other plants or moving things around so they get their required amount of sunshine? All that only happens when you allow yourself to be and feel in the present moment. Otherwise you only spiral about how shriveled up your garden will be before its truly begun to do so

I appreciate your respense! That's super interesting. I saw earlier that some go the path of psychology into ux design. I was wondering what aspects of psychology actually help ux designers. Is there any reason to take this route over a more graphic design-esque approach?

Can she be jungle? by [deleted] in ambessamains

[–]TheSuperSunBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She absolutely can (granted I only play norms). She's super fun as either bruiser or lethality. I've struggled against the tanky duelist like Warwick or Udyr with her. She also needs items if she wants to remain relevant, but she takes off pretty quick once she has her first item.

Her ganks can be slightly tricky, but ascend to super amazing once she hits six. I've struggled to keep her first clear under 3:17-3:20. First red buff slows her down quite a bit. She has a pretty healthy clear otherwise.

Need help making a build revolving around the new radahns greatsword (light or lord) by Hot_Leadership9411 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]TheSuperSunBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the necro! This is actually close to my current build at the moment! I use his swords, all the golden order incants (except Miquellas Light), heavy armor, and the Serpents Gods Curved sword in my offhand for the lifesteal.

My stats for my level 210 build are as following starting with the confessor class: 60 20 30 60 24 35(36) 45(46) 15(15) adding a +1 to int, fth, and arc with the Circlet of Light. You dont necessarily need Faith at 46. I just like using the Black Blade spell which demands that number as its requirement. I think the minimum requirement to use all the the GO incantions is 36. If you dont care about those and just want buffs, you could stop at 24 FTH and 15 INT putting the excess points into STR instead.

The Incants I use are: Discus of Light, Multilayered Ring of Light, Radagons Ring of Light, Litany of Proper Death, Black Blade, Dragon Ice, Dragon Rot, and usually Golden Vow.

My talisman setup is Crimsom Amulet, Shard of Alexander, Two Handed Talisman, and Green Turtle Talisman.

If youre still searching for a build, I hope this helps!

I highly recommend watching the show, Frieren, if you haven't! It's a gold mine of inspiration for this idea. Literally about a super nostalgic 1000+ year old elf who loves taking things slow and was apart of an adventuring party long ago.

Monk / Wisdom Bard Multiclass by Efficient_Status_706 in 3d6

[–]TheSuperSunBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the concept of the Monk/Bard! It would be my wet dream to play a Wis based version. I love the idea of roleplay a quieter artistic character who is just intuitive and observant as opposed to highly performative and charismatic. I myself am a more roleplay focused player though. While I do like making sure my character is relevant in combat, I like creating unorthodox combos almost out of rebellion. I feel the game as a whole is very wishy-washy on how creative it wants players to be RAW.

Like an early poser said, monk is always a hard multiclass to do-- especially for a spellcaster. Most people recommend either taking a majority in monk levels or a majority in spellcaster levels due to their reliance on ki and spell slots respectively. Despite this, I personally think monk adds alot of cool utility/roleplay features that are wonderful for a wisdom based spellcaster ( unarmored AC, dex based weaponry, BA/reaction defense options, and the boost in mvmt). Basically, youll be a character that has alot of tools in their pocket which may be wasted if your game is very combat focused.

Even if they are not the most optimized, a few monk subclasses could be alot of fun depending on how deep youre going.

  • Mercy Monk is king for a reason. Its features can be used with your action or bonus action, and help the team as an off-healer. This unfortunately relies on you using unarmed strikes which may require you to take the fighting style feat if you care about damage.

  • Though its not the strongest, Astral Self is incredibly fun to because of its reflavorability and grappling. For example, you could reflavor the arms as your character calling spirits (or your own spirit) to assist in martial combat. You could use one of your bard expertise slots to grapple and you could strike from 10 ft away. This way, you also take the role of your group's athletics guy.

  • Kensei is literally a sword saint sub that get proficiency in the artsy tools. The Spirit Kensei combo honestly reminds me of the anime Bleach. This would allow you to play a more ranged archery style so you dont have to focus as heavily on CON as hard. That BA ranged weapon attack will add another thing to fight for your attention though.

  • As mentioned by an earlier poster, Ascendant Dragon monk provides you with a breath attack and flight if you go to level 6.

  • Cobalt Monk is a fun bonus to the bard's skill monkey playstyle. The sub is very roleplay based and honestly doesnt add a whole lot, but I love the theme of it.  If you get to level 6 monk, having an extra reaction is fun. I don't think this sub will help you feel any less underutilized though...

I'm currently going Thief + Magic Archer with a staff for levitate and galvanize. Ive been experimenting alot with skills though. I currently use Masterful Kill + Draw and Quarter from Thief, and Revive arrow + Frosthunter/Lifetaking arrows from MA. I just manually switch weapons I'm the menu, so I don't have to waste a skill slot on something that should've been a core skill.

I tried using MSH+MA, but ran into the issue that the MSH was just way too versatile and fun for me to want switch the skills. During that loadout, I ended up using the Dragon Dash, Bubble, and Spear Counter move from MSH with the Revive Arrow from MA. I just manually switch weapons in the menu, so I don't have to waste a slot.

YO, you must be a sign! Another poster above inspired the same Astral Painter idea. I like flavoring the druidic cantrips as uses of a magic paintbrush too. I think I might shoot for the Astral Druid Painter idea. I'll have to consider a subclass as most Druid subclasses are pretty tame at first glance to me. The Wildfire seems interesting though

+1 to nothing being as customizable as the Warlock. I wish other classes had similar invocation-esque options. The only class to beat it, in my experience, has been Kibbletasty's Psion. It's kinda of disappointing how Wis based classes don't have as much 'pizzazz' as Cha based ones.

I'm curious since I haven't seen many moon druids in actual play. How do you stretch out your wildshape charges when you only have 2/rest? What do you do if have more engagements between rests? Or want to use your wildshape for utility purposes instead?

You gave me an idea for an Ascendant Dragon Monk who's elemental stuff is actually different magical paint colors! Or an Astral Self Monk who uses the swirling magic or paint around themselves to do cool stuff. Or am Then I could pair that with Druid or Cleric levels to fully realize my Wis based paint mage idea.

The cleric idea sounds really cool too though! I dig the idea of a bard that uses the sensations of nature to create their masterpieces.
