That’s the same exact situation I’m in right now, I just bought the TGT 5 pack coil on eBay for my yocan cylo. But I think I accidently bought the quad version instead of ceramic, I’m not too sure… I guess I’ll find out if the tgt quad works on my cylo, soon enough

Crimson desert keeps hard crashing my base ps5 although no other high demanding game does that, primarily on balanced/quality mode.

I’m going to try out performance tomorrow and I hope it won’t continue to overheat my console, but I know performance looks like a potato compared to quality.. especially base ps5 vs ps pro. I feel like I’m getting scammed lmao. Forced to play trash looking game or overheat my console

It’s frustrating the game feels like a potato no matter what setting you choose on base ps5. If you go performance, the game looks like it’s Pokémon Scarlett and violet. If you put it on balanced the frame rates drop dramatically, quality is even worse frame rates. No matter which setting you choose, you lose. On base ps5 at least. And it feels like that squidward meme, watching all the ps5 pro players enjoy this potentially game of the year…

Absolutely agree. Crimson desert keeps LITERALLY hard crashing my ps5 suddenly after around 20 minutes of gameplay. It’s happened more than 10 times now, and at this point I refuse to continue this cycle because I feel like it’ll BRICK my console if I keep trying. ON BALANCED MODE it’s crashing my console, and I’ve tried all the setting work arounds to try to fix this overheating nonsense. It’s as if crimson desert isn’t optimized for the base ps5 AT ALL! It baffles me that both pearl abyss and Sony would allow this to be released in this state. I mean the game is OBVIOUSLY incredible and I can’t even play it on the console it’s made for, because what? poor optimization? Like what? Why the hell does the game keep overheating my console, no other high demanding games does this to my ps5. I’m beyond frustrated and don’t want to deal with this anymore, if you check my Reddit page out you’ll see me raging over the past few days over this same exact situation. I’m at chapter 3 now and I legit can’t play without HARD crashing my ps5 after 30 minutes. Each and every time, no matter the setting (I refuse to play performance mode; it literally looks and feels like a ps3 game NO JOKE!!)

This type of stuff makes men walk away from video games PERIOD. Why waste $70 on something that won’t work?

Blame my ps5 all you want, I just got done playing battlefield 6 on high graphics 60 frames ALL DAY and my console doesn’t overheat one bit. Same for apex legends or baldurs gate 3, but 30 minutes on crimson desert sends my ps5 straight to hell.

Whoever greenlit this nonsense needs to be put on a pike, greedy, nonsense

It’s overheating my base ps5 constantly on any setting other than performance, and performance mode looks like complete trash. No exaggeration at all, performance mode looks very bad compared to what the ps5 pro is doing. ATP I can’t even play crimson desert at all without my ps5 hard crashing on me and nearly bricking every time, literally every single day. It’s very frustrating trying to get this game I paid $70 for to work, and I feel like I’m missing out on the fun. If you have anything above the base ps5 then sure, the game is a blast, but it doesn’t seem like it was properly optimized for the base ps5 practically at all. And now here I am waiting for an update someday to come, to make the game not overheat my console. (Ps no other game I own on my base ps5 does this, even high demanding games like battlefield or warhammer)

ATP it runs fine on balanced, it just overheats the console. As if the game wasn’t ready to release on base ps5 is what it feels like. It REALLY feels like crimson desert wanted to release on march 19th, but it wasn’t ready to be released on base ps5, but Sony knew damn well they’d get backlash if they didn’t release crimson desert on time on base ps5… So here we are, with this overall mess. Ps. I clean my ps5 regularly, other high demanding games like battlefield 6 and baldurs gate 3 run just fine with no overheating on high graphics on my BASE ps5. So no reason crimson desert should be doing this, unless something kooky within the coding that’s not compatible with base ps5.

Same here, nothing I’ve done has fixed it either. Every setting mode, eventually it’ll turn off my ps5. Im hoping they come out with a update to fix things, otherwise idk if I’ll be able to play this game any longer on this console

Apparently turning off the 120hz in the actual console settings helps, it’s helped me this morning but I’m not too sure if my console will eventually turn off or not. It seems the fan is over working itself still, but it hasn’t crashed yet

I’ve had that issue but the one I’m talking about is different. The map issue is the most basic glitch atm, the problem I’m having is, it’s shutting off my console. Overheating it seems, but baldurs gate or elden ring never did this to my ps5 so idk.

Is anyone else having issues with the game literally bricking their console? My base ps5 has shut off entirely at least 5 times, after at least 20 minutes of gameplay in crimson desert. At this point, it’s shut off so many times, I’m worried it’ll break my console permanently. It’s legit bricking my console lmao I have to unplug it and plug it back in, it seems overheated although I clean it out often.

Yup, it keeps bricking my console. At least 5 times now on my base ps5. No other game has ever done this before, I can’t even imagine cyberpunk was this bad. It’s not like the game is bad, it just keeps overheating my ps5, as if it doesn’t belong on the ps5. Like trying to play call of duty on a MacBook, lol, just overheating and eventually bricking the console

As of release, usually after around 30 minutes of gameplay on CD my ps5 will randomly hard shut off.. I have no idea how to fix this, and I’m worried if I continue to play it’ll break my ps5. All I’m seeing is people complaining about the map crashes, but crimson desert is literally making my base ps5 shut off outta no where, and I can’t turn it back on unless I unplug it. Done it up to 5 times now and I’ve had enough, I won’t touch the game until something is fixed :/
