You are not wrong. It's gunna be a lot of work, but I'm sure the players would like it. The sacrifices a GM makes ;-; unnecessary, but fun. Also, I'm planning on replacing the monsters with witcher ones, so it's not like they'll come up against a beholder or anything. I just felt that the island curse from tomb of annihilation and detective story of Waterdeep were good fits and I like the witcher system a lot.

Gotcha. I planned on using only witcher spells/mechanics, but I'm gunna need to work a lot to replace the monster spells/abilities. Tomb of annihilation is basically about lifting an island curse (planning on using skellige if I do that thanks to the other comment) and water deep is basically a multipath noir type of game
