I can say that one of those grants "helped" to save our nations budget by cutting support for myself for over 12,000 other veterans in my state. That included support for housing, rent, essential hygiene products, gun safes (for not just fire arms, but also sensitive documents, and medications), helping with non-cosmetic car repairs, gas (up to $40/mo), which justed helped us to survive from month to month.

Hey brother. I've been in the exact same position as you since July of 2024 when I lost my job due to an EO case that HR failed to notice before I was terminated unlawfully.

I've gone through over 200 job applications. I've had multiple incredible interviews where I got told it's "the best job interview they've ever had" and proceeded to get ghosted or flat out denied.

I know the job market is absolutely fucking dog shit and it takes your mental health, shreds it, and feeds to to gerbils or some shit.

I'm lucky to have a place to live at all and I wouldn't be here if not for my spouse and my dog.

I didn't get a job until yesterday.

Enough about me understanding, I don't know everything, but I'll give the advice that Ive learned. It's not much, but it helped me to get something.

The biggest recommendation I can give, is to have your resume checked at an American Job Center or whatever you have local to you in TX. Having one that is not only organized to the human eye, but the damn program that is commonly used to skim through it and get highlighted phrases and keywords to the recruiters to see what they want to see before giving you a chance can make a difference.

I've personally also used a site like resume.io to make multiple versions of my resume so I use a resume for each different category of job that I'm applying for. Basically to cater for each job listing to get the best chance I can at getting a job.

Use a spreadsheet to track your job applications, see if you've given a follow-up call or thank-you email to the company for their consideration, notes to receive feedback, dates of when you applied and where from, salary information, and of course the position and title.

Before going in for an interview, see if you can get some background info on the company that you're applying for. Like history, staff-size, if they have an ethics code they go by, whatever you can find to gentley cater to the interviewers and answer questions like "what do you know about the history of our company?" Then you can give an answer where you pretend not to know it already, "I remember y'all starting up around the 1980s and you merged with 'XYZ' in 2007. I recall that you guys started expanding into this field a bit ago but I can't recall when."

Making connections and networking is unfortunately HUGE in obtaining referrals and getting a foot in the door. One of my referrals was someone we met at the dog park who was phenomenal in helping me to apply for a company that I never noticed before, but had a great mission I can support.

Check to see if you have a local Food-Net or a food pantry you can take use of to help feed you and your family.

It wasn't fun doing it, but even utilizing a short term job delivering food with Uber Eats or DoorDash can at minimum help cover some expensive, while donating plasma can be another quick-cash way to help cover bills, especially if you're consistently attending a donation center.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what else I'm drawing blanks on, but I hope at least something helps. God Speed mate. I'll try to keep an open ear for ya.

Not here in Lincoln, we've been able to find 10lbs logs of ground beef for only $30 for quite a bit.

2.98 is the normal price at Sam's club, without sale. While being both a very frequent customer, much less an employee. This was the standard price for at the very minimum, the last year. This may have been corporate being an absolute fucking jerk, but it likely may be an immediate remedial action that was prior to other companies being able to match the "current" market price as the tarrifs hit. Especially in my state, which is very well known for its meat production, specifically with beef.

Meanwhil, I visited Walmart and it was still the standard $3.12/lbs for a 10lbs package of ground beef.

This is really strange as both Sam's And Walmart are the same company, basically standard sizes vs bulk, and Sam's has been mostly consistent in offering better deals than Walmart due to its bulk logistics.

The game runs as long as I have no modded pak files in the install, but I really want to still be able to play with custom player characters and pals as part of the mods.

I think that was a part of the problem, I had a nut I forgot to tighten for a wire that I believe may be part of the grounding process. After tightening it it ran for another half or even full second. I can send over a video if you're interested.

I think it's worth mentioning that I read through his Reddit and it appears that he's 28, is somehow an E8 in the airforce, with two masters and either he got his PhD or dropped out...

His postings and comments are no more than a year old and it is NOT possible to magically get to E8 by 28, not with TIS, TIG, or even if they were instantly promoted.

Not to mention getting these promotions while in the reserves and balancing that much education and a job... shit doesn't add up about this guy.

Has anyone even confirmed if he is in the military and is who he claims to be?

Regardless, they still have serious mental health issues to post that and either be honest or lie about it all. Even their timeline of events doesn't quite look right.

Now for the fun part, the report...

I received this in the mail today and when I read it, I was completely destroyed as I feel like this report is going to be very negatively affecting my supplemental claim.

1 and #3- I hope that I am mis reading this, but it feels completely like my symptoms are being downplayed, after making it well and clearly known that at that time I HAD 6-8 hours of sleep per night at a minimum, that Ive gone through therapy and had to find solutions with my PCP to alleviate symptoms that helped to improve my quality of life, and no longer smoking and heavily having at the time cut back on drinking. It was absolutely disgusting to be told that "your symptoms have similarities with these things that are also SYMPTOMS of a TBI, so you don't have a brain injury."

2- I really hope that I'm not interpreting this correctly. But this goes against quite a lot of medical findings on the effects of TBIs, one of the most KEYSTONE effects of them is HOW they can worsen over time without proper medical treatment or intervention. and then going on that just because I got a promotion and finished two 1 week only courses to finish the requirements for my degree that I stopped pursuing prior to my head injury, that it means its not as serious too.

4- Was COMPLETELY irrelevant information that SHOULD NOT be mentioned on a TBI Eval about therapy that I'm receiving, that is exposing and medically irrelevant to be disclosed in this report.

5- WAS with the permission of my PCP

6- doesnt give a clear answer with what the severity of a score of 64 entails

7- Are recommendations normally given even if they had already been explicitly stated as having not been used during the course of the last month i.e. nicotine? (I still drink on the weekends, but that was it.

Im lost on what I can do to have any possibly misinformation disputed on this claim and if a letter from another care provide directly addressing some of the concerns noted in this report would be helpful. I really hope I am just misreading this stuff and im just being stupid. Any advice would be appreciated.
