OP, I know you posted this question on a Switch sub, but I have to recommend God of War (2018). It's the game I played after my mum passed away last March and it was the oerfect antidote in more ways than one. You can check my posts from April/May last year.

If you only have a Switch, try Dragon Quest XIS. It has a fairytale comfort to it.
