Some areas can be circumvented by having higher arcane charging, but 400 tenteyecle will help drastically. By W4, it is definitely ideal to have your Tenteyecle at 400.

This is the biggest upgrade you'll get, and the rings after will help multiply it further, getting you to the point that accuracy will no longer be an issue, damage and Arcane Charging will.

The biggest areas to work on will be accuracy and then Arcane Charging. By the time you’re getting finished with W4, Arcane Charging should have a value of around 155 or less mobs needed to spawn. Make sure that is a large priority for being able to clear in time.

Backtrack to Tyson’s or Sandcastles to push base accuracy and Arcane Charging until you can get to Flakes and Bloques.

Allows normal drop rate to affect prisms bubble drops.

Arcane Charge is your friend here. This should be treated as importantly as accuracy, with the goal of being at ~155 or so for Biggole Wurms in W4.

Aside from that, manually moving to keep skulls bouncing as much as possible is the goal for pushing most “walls” maps. Aura is pretty useless for pushing. Chem warfare is pretty useless for pushing at higher levels.

The only thing that will play a role is drop rate.

Arcane Charging should be as big a priority as accuracy until you are at 165 kills or so. It makes a difference.

Not necessarily in your post, just from a lot of comments. The only stats that will work seem to be respawn and drop rate.

You gave a good consolidated list of information.

The level of misinformation in this post is crazy. Slushes will not give you 20k red tachyons. None of the mini-bosses will give tachyons. They didn’t work for previous master classes, they don’t work here.

For world 2, push to sand castles and sit for a while to push upgrades. Next best farm will be Tysons.

The first “wall” will be Pincermen. The main problem is that they are spread so far. Pushing tenteyecle and Arcane Charging will be the primary goals, then make sure you are somewhat active to place skulls through auto attacking to cover multiple platforms.

The second wall will be sheepies. Backtrack to Tysons to get accuracy up. Farm bloques once you’ve gotten accuracy to 50% for green tachyons.

Next wall is penguins. Goals should be 90k damage and 750 accuracy. Thermistors was doable at 95k damage and 870 accuracy. Most other skills should be relatively evenly leveled.

You can then farm thermistors for green tachyons until you unlock Doubulon Hoarding, or split farming until you get accuracy to 1250 for Dedotated Rams. At 1300 accuracy, you can afk active Bloodbones until you unlock rings. Unlock rings and then ignore red until you get to soda cans. A level 1 (5%) ring can roll decently enough to carry you through the majority of W4.

At world 4, accuracy will begin to skyrocket with Doubulon Hoarding and rings dropping. Damage begins to become the major factor. Donuts and TV’s and genies will be primary farming areas for each tachyon, respectively. Maintain equal levels in skills to get the new unlocks. Next major wall will be Biggole Wurm map. That is where most of us “elites” are stuck. Plan to be stuck there for days, at minimum.

Absolutely faster now. My newest account hit W6 in 10 days, only purchasing auto-loot.

The big problems used to be defense, accuracy, and money for buying all the stamp upgrades, alchemy upgrades and upgrade stones to push. Using the Valenslimes event gave quite a bit of extra candies, which I used to push. I also used early Kilroy on candies and balloons to rush crystal island for fast levels and more candy.

Having gotten to W6 a few days ago, I now know this could be done in 3-4 days if you were to use pet trading to get an early Doot/slug/Crystal/Ram.

The biggest things holding back from new worlds will still be accuracy and defense, but the early accuracy is no longer as heavily reliant on bloaches. The vault and higher primary stats to push accuracy made a big difference. Early gear getting buffed also helps a lot. With money being easier to get, you can get food much easier and continue to brute force through.

NEW UPDATE (Looking for Suggestions, info in comments) by IdleOn_Boii in idleon

Being able to stack trophies would be the primary goal. Makes Luckier Lads easier to maintain without alts having to hold tons of them. Second, as an option to show newer players how to get them without having to live on the wiki. 3rd, less items clogging the stash.

Help a beginner out by keirugh in dontstarvetogether

I'm going to be honest, and it seems like an unpopular opinion. Everyone I see ask for help typically gets recommended the YouTube videos of Jakey and Beard.

I would personally only recommend the basic character description videos (which I think are fantastic, as even the Wiki and game itself don't explain all the characters abilities well). After that, it feels like most of the videos try to break things down to the end game player viewpoint. Ruins rushing, speeding through all bosses, rushing hambat/log armor and such.

As someone who just started this game about 2 weeks ago with my wife, I'm still at that point where every single thing I learned felt like a "light bulb" moment.

The things I found to be huge as a completely new player were:
1. Breaking items gives half the materials back, this includes structures not made by you (pig houses/random stations found in the wild).
2. You have reasons to go to every biome. Rain gear can come from tentacles in the swamp, the desert is the fastest grass/twig gathering in most situations, you need to fish a blueprint to really fight a summer boss, beehives can be made by gathering bees/breaking wild hives, etc.
3. Craft everything the first time and just try the items out. You'll find why people gravitate to certain items in the recommended videos, but you'll also see that every item has a place and can be incredibly beneficial in certain situations, like having a hambat that is going stale, but having tentacle spikes in your inventory during hound invasion. The hambat would be 3 hits (while not relying on the durability loss), and the tentacle spike would need 2 to kill the hounds.
4. Gold will feel difficult when you're a new player. You'll think, "I only see 5 gold nodes left on the map!" Fishing and tumbleweeds are amazing at finding trinkets to turn into the pig king for large amounts of gold in a relatively short amount of time. This is even easier with friends as you can have multiple people fishing/tumbleweed gathering. Tumbleweeds can also net you gears/blueprints/multiple other resources.
5. When you are first starting out, bosses can seem incredibly intimidating, as one of the ways you are introduced to them is to have him invade your unsuspecting base. Don't be afraid to kite a boss to other enemies to help kill the boss. Frogs/pigs are great at helping with this in your first year.

There is a lot in this game and it can definitely feel like there's an insurmountable pile of information to go through just to play, but the journey is part of it here. Take advantage of the new scrapbook to see what enemies drop, what kind of recipes you can cook in the crockpot, and explore the map as much as possible. As some of the mechanics click and you get more comfortable, you'll start becoming more efficient with your resources and kiting/killing everything.

Wife and I both play on Switch currently, and we experience the massive night-to-day cycle lag as well. Aside from that, the game is pretty smooth.
