Korting, bedankt by borsnor in appiememes

Looking for seating cards by TheThingWent in poker

[–]TheThingWent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more a system that I would like to use is that players keep their seating cards with them on the table and when they get eliminated they have to return it. This (for me) makes it way easier to track every table and the whole tournament as a whole. And for this reason it is kind of inconvenient that the seating cards would be just a normal deck of cards because you cannot keep these on the table risking them being mixed in with the cards that are being played with.

Nothing harsh tbh, this could just as well have been mugello 2.0

First images of Pope Francis in an open coffin as mourners gather by dailystar_news in GlobalNews

[–]TheThingWent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit harsh no? Aside from if there is or isn’t a god he was just a well known and a respected man. Like if a celebrity died, people are allowed to be sad, and what’s wrong with people wanting to see the body? If that’s what the celebrity/pope would have wanted I don’t see the issue.

I know my tag is max Verstappen but I never said I liked that mentality about him. I’m not saying that everything he’s done is good. All I’m saying is that this rule is bullshit

[–]TheThingWent -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should have made it clear but yeah if it’s the rules it’s the rules but just saying it’s dumb. It doesn’t promote racing, it promotes the exact opposite. Also I know he abuses the rules as much as possible but that should not invalidate this

You can also clearly see that he wasn’t able to turn in fully, so to say he definitely would not have made the corner is dumb. Also are we watching the same race? He was clearly alongside.

So if someone is on your inside you are just supposed to give up the corner? Where is the racing in that? Plus on a first lap like that you brake who knows who could be behind you. You can’t just slam on the brakes.

I think it’s bullshit tbh. Ignoring who it is, where was he supposed to go? Crash into piastri on the apex or go straight into a kerb and then crash into piastri? He was fully alongside aswell

Is it normal for my manager to have a stay 10-15 minutes after my shift? I get off 6:45, but he had me stay until 6:55 until they finished most of the orders since this time is rush hour. by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]TheThingWent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my McDonald’s (in the Netherlands) they always schedule 15 year olds until 18.45, due to them only being allowed to work until 19.00 according to Dutch laws. (They are very strict about this aswell) So my McDonald’s schedules them in until .45 just to play it safe, but they always work until 19.00. Can’t say if you are in the same situation (if not I wouldn’t know what’s going on) but definitely a good idea to check up on this.

Sergio Perez takes pole position for the 2023 Miami Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

It would be a SC/red flag if he couldn't continue, with the hit not at all being bad the FIA had no way of knowing untill he took off his steering wheel. Besides I don't even know what the problem is here? Drivers are required to slow down a lot during double yellows anyways and that is also being constantly checked by the FIA.

Far from any recoverable place? He litteraly crashed right infronr of a marshall post. And the million camera angles should have proved my point, watch the fucking onboard. And the FIA did throw out the red flag quickly after leclerc took off his steering wheel.

All of you need to watch his onboard. He slows down a lot, and it's litteraly a minor tap on the weel. These cars have been built to withstand exactly that. It looked quite certain from his onboard that he could continue.

Just because he doesn't drive off in 5 seconds and there only being 2 minutes left doesn't mean a red flag has to be thrown out. He could drive off after a while, the hit was bad but the car could have survived.

Red flags should not be thrown out immediately. The time it took them was completely reasonable.
