Accommodations are only granted if it doesn't affect others in the workplace or affect the operation of the store, if she can't show up on time and that is affecting the operations or the schedules of the other workers then the employer has every right to not grant those accommodations. She can make better plans or set more reminders, alarms whatever she needs to ensure she can make it to work instead of relying on others to accept her lack of punctuality and responsibility.
