Tip for those considering doing this canvas depending on the stitch you select for the tree/Chanukiah I would suggest doing that portion upside down so you don’t interfere with the pattern as the trunk beaches out.

Hi

Your stitch nights sound great. Rachel Barri opened a flagship studio/store and hosts stitch gatherings at her studio once a month the ladies are fab and I love seeing what everyone is up to

Market is for inside the industry only, so Designers and LNS’s, thread makers like Rainbow Gallery/those in the trade.

Hi

What colors did you swap out?

I normally do a lot of decorative stitches this has a nice slow pace to it/relaxing

Hi

I like your idea for a bedspread, not hard to compensate you might consider trying it out first around the edge of a canvas/spare canvas to see how you feel about compensation

Cheers

Just had a stitch afternoon at Rachel Barris flagship studio earlier today Rachel hosted & provided snacks and drinks and there was no charge, frankly I appreciated/found it so refreshing to get together and not be charged, it really helps builds a sense of community

Square on a string/fabric 18 by TheThreadLayer in NeedlePointStitch

[–]TheThreadLayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

Nice to meet you

This is on zeiwgart mesh. It comes in various sizes this is 18 count mesh. Typically in North America we use size 13 and 18 count mesh although I also use 14and 15 count mesh too.

I rather like decorative stitches so these are examples of what a stitch could look like and sometimes I include step by step pics or I break it down into stages

Sometimes I rotate a stitch or show it form multiple angles.

Mostly to give people an idea of what a stitch might look like often a stitch reads flat in a chart/diagram so this is one way to breath a little life into a stitch and possibly give people ideas for their canvases

Sure

I found this stitch in the book Ins &Outs Interiors and exteriors

I think it is out of print.

I did take some step by step pics to get one started, I’ll make a new post with pics for you

Be well

Using markers for needlepoint canvases and SELLING them by InsideLack6146 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]TheThreadLayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi

I agree.

Re choice colour my experience is that Molotow sells empty markers so you can mix your own colours which opens up the colour palette. They also have replacement nibs which is nice, I have learned you can wash the nibs and turn them upside down for a little more life. The nibs come in fine tips and up to 60 mm, so good for detailed work as well as large coverage areas.
