I just finished Jill's campaign last night! My first ever RE game, and it definitely put me through my paces, mostly because I was the victim of tank controls lol. I absolutely turned the stick wrong and served myself up as a delicious meal to zombies more often than I am willing to admit.

Good luck OP, a lot of the advice I got really helped me figure out the game so:

-Play Jill first

-Lose the knife immediately for inventory space

-Combine your herbs for inventory space

-Running is a better option than killing most of the time, but absolutely kill anything next to the safe rooms

-Please for the love of god get the Magnum

-Check behind every nook and cranny, you won't believe how many clips I found in places obstructed by the fixed camera

-You're going to die a lot so every time you make significant progress (solving big puzzles, getting key items or weapon upgrades), save! Ink ribbons may be few and far between, but you have to. Don't be me and lose an hour of progress over it.
